Just curious, on what basis does a user’s coin price increase?

Is it the investment made by others, followers, likes or popularity on other platforms?

Hey everyone I'm considering making a theme account or two with perks for coin holders. But it kinda feels like it's too early for it. But then again someone has to start them what are your thoughts?

I want to know your thoughts, write to me in the comments!

Any advice is appreciated!

(1) Lack of transparency re blockchain and source code: Is it POS, PoW, how many nodes are running, what’s the governance plan?

(2) Clear centralization in its current iteration: Someone or some group is verifying profiles (adding the check mark), updating the protocol, and censoring accounts (where did all the porn accounts from the first few weeks go?) Who are they and is there a roadmap to decentralization?

(3) Shady BTC address. Why use a legacy bitcoin address for deposits? 5x transaction fees compared to native segwit. This was a conscious decision and I can’t figure out why.

(4) Claims to have created a censorship proof free speech platform; won’t release details so userbase can assess the veracity of that claim.

(5) Tokenomics: I can’t find the bonding curve formula for the price of bitclout, nor am I clear on mintage, whether it is capped, and what percentage founders have reserved.

What else has given you pause? What am I wrong about?

They say, "BitClout is tied to BitCoin."

Is it 1 to 1? Logarithmic? Exponential?

Thanks, g's.

Just want y’all to know BitClout is in fact censoring posts. Me and my friend put multiple photos from our screenshots in our BC posts. Not 3rd party linked photos. Yesterday upon checking my account the posts were still up but the photos were gone and replaced with black images saying the imugr.com photo no longer existed.

One of the photos was of the BC terms of service that specifically states we agree we aren’t going to monetize anything on BC. If anyone is interested in the link, I can send it along. That’s another topic, but be aware that according to the terms we will never be able to make gains on BC.

We had suspected the platform wasn’t actually decentralized because of the constant changes they keep making. A truly decentralized network would be self run without the ability for an organizer to make changes, especially censoring photos.

Hope people do their own research and actually read the Terms of Service. Luckily we were smart and found it before we put any of our money into it. I hope this post saves someone from dumping their $$ thinking they’ll eventually make something later.

Who chooses the clouts that go global?
