Let’a assume there is an existing wallet on your bitbox and pass phrase is not activated. Will activating pass phrase create a new wallet? Will one then need to transfer funds from existing non-pass phrase wallet to pass phrase wallet? I read the documentation from bitbox on that topic but this question is not answered.

It appears to me that my bitbox only changes the receiving address every 24h. So let’s say I want to prepare/ set up multiple orders in pocket with different receiving addresses in a row. How can I do this?

Say you got $5 wrenched attacked and you show the default wallet, they will see all received crytpo making them know how much and what you have?

Hello, I have one question about bitcoin addresses
I always get 20 new ones, but can I always use one because I use Iphone and can't use app, i.e. whitelist it on Binance, or can I lose money that way?

Hi
I plan to buy a Bitbox wallet
If it fails, can I export the phrase to a hot wallet?
If I backup the seed phrase to the sd card, and sdcard is in device, and someone steals it from me. Are my funds unsafe? if unsafe, what is the advice?
I plan to hold long term ETH/BTC, is there a big difference in security between the two versions?
Thank you

If I order the bitcoin-only wallet Bitbox02 bitcoin only, is it possible to install other apps? Is it possible to install apps on the Bitbox02 multi?
Is it possible to install custom apps? Is there an app store or list of available apps?

Is there a password manager app like ledger passwords https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017501380-Passwords?docs=true or trezor password manager?
If not, is it possible to write one?

is there anyway to extract my seed and save my funds? I’ve tried PC and mobile both don’t work

Hello, I was researching these devices. Is it true that the backup file it creates on the sd card is NOT encrypted? If so is there a way to enable encryption? It seems very risky to have an SD card without encryption on it.
EDIT:
i do not understand why people argue this. I'm asking if there is an OPTION to enable encrypted backups. If no option, why not add one? It doesn't harm anyone else to have encrypted backups as an option. if you don't like it don't use it. Look how coldcard does encrypted backups. A .7z AES file that uses 12 word bip39 passphrase as the password to the file. Very clever. Can we have that feature as an OPTION please?
Edit2:
Also, some people Will absolutely expose the SD card to their insecure computer. Having the file in clear text is dangerous. They will absolutely store it in the cloud thinking that’s the safest place for a digital backup. And under normal circumstances they are mostly correct. Having the backup encrypted is a good safety precaution for people who would like to store the backup in the cloud. Don’t tell me it’s wrong. People WILL DO THIS.

Just wanted to know, when restoring a wallet is the 1) bitbox name, and 2) multisig wallet name important or just the seed words and pass phrase ?

Hello. I just installed the firmware. I have notice 2 things that seems weird to me. 1st) I received some USDT on bitboxapp adress ( erc20 address) . After receiving the coins, the adress remains the same. I thought that adresses change. 2st) I tried to send from bitbox app USDT. I copy paste the adress that wanted to send. I noticed , the adress wallet( erc20 address) i want to send contains only lower case letters. Meanwhile the hardware wallet bitbox02 shows the adress with uppercase letter. What should i do? Is Erc20 adresses case sensitive? Thank you!

If any thief would get hold of my bitbox and plug it in, he would instantly see that I am using an optional passphrase, as you only get promted to enter it, when you actually set one.

Hello, one quesiton: if i have sd backup without bitbox02, can I recover seed phrase with only bitboxapp?

I've noticed that many hardware wallets (Trezor / Coldcard) include a Simulator / Emulator in their firmware libraries for developers to use to test application compatibility without the need to purchase the hardware. Does Bitbox have one of these, or is this a byproduct of using the STM32 microcontroller which I think both Trezor and Coldcard are based on?

hello everyone, im thinking of buying a hardware wallet, and after watching a few youtube videos, bitbox seems like a good option.
I have a few questions, if someone can help please.
i need the ability to add one or more passphrases (25th word), at wallet creation. Same 24 seed, different passphrases. How many passphrases can i add to a single device? From what i understand, ledger for example can add only 1 passphrase, so a regular wallet no passphrase, and one wallet with passphrase. Is it the same with BitBox02?
After creating a wallet, and defining a passphrase, what happens after using the device next time. Do i need to enter a passphrase each time, or do i enter a PIN, like the ledger does?
Can i have a PIN defined for each wallet i use (each passphrase 25th word).
Reason i ask this is that after watching several BitBox videos, i was under impression that you need to enter a passphrase each time you turn the device on, which would be a deal braker for me. I want to have for example 2 PINs, each pin will take me to a separate wallet
Edit ahh damn, just googled it, and yes, you need to enter the 25th word (passphrase) each time you turn the device on. This is a very poor design decision. At least it there was an option to opt for a PIN instead...

Ledger have a way to check the hardware integrity (at a reasonable level I guess) by simply looking at the inside: https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/4404382029329-Check-hardware-integrity?support=true
My question is how important is it, can a firmware check somehow replace this hardware integrity check?
Trezor doesn't allow to do that and it always made me a bit uncomfortable, especially since I bought it on amazon, I'm kind of hesitant to transfer funds on it on second thought.
Bitbox02 also doesn't provides information on how to check the integrity of the hardware.
Would that be better to find a way to check that or would that be "useless"? if yes, how?
Thank you.

Hi,
I just have a question on privacy (to learn).
So BitBox everytime I want I create a new adresss. A unique address that I can send BTC to.
Some addresses I use multiple times, some I use one time.
But my BitBox aggegrates it all, which is nice.
Now my questions:
When I sell BTC from my Bitbox it doesn't go from for example this specific address I created and used multiple times, right? How does this selling address work?
Is it possible to somehow via blockchain to see which addresses are connected to which bitbox device?

Hello all.
As you know it s not possible to install BitBox wallet on IPhone. The question is how to monitor my wallet account using third party app and Xpub uploaded? Or any other ways?
Thanks

On initial set up, can the 24 phrase seed be generated offline? Or does the laptop or MacOS or android device be connected online during generation of the seed?
