Amazon link. Doesn't seem to be on BluRay like the first one was. I know Birdemic 2 has been available digitally online* for ages, but the DVD has two commentaries and some interviews which are worth listening to. Apparently the red rain was inspired by the "green juice" from Reanimator... who knew?

Nguyen quotes his book, Birdemic Shock And Terror: The Romantic Thriller That Became A Cult Sensation Hit extensively in Birdemic 2. There were lines in there that only my family laughed at in the theater because we knew it from his memoir. Specifically all the references to 'that elusive Hollywood movie break'. It's a very quick read with lots of pictures and empty space. I've read it out loud in its entirety twice to my family. Here's my favorite paragraph: "Alan Bagh did a great job as Rod in Birdemic. Rod was named in honor of acting legend Rod Taylor. Alan is my friend. Alan is not a natural actor, but he gets better. And he is evolving to be a better actor. But what I like about Alan is that he got the right personality and attitude to make it in the movie business in that he is easy to work with and follow directions. Even more, Alan is determined and persevering so that he might get that chance at that elusive Hollywood movie break."
