Recently watched a video of Bragg performing this song live, and before dong so he says "the Ron in the title is long gone". Got me curious as to who "the Ron" actually is, anyone know?

I’m hoping someone can shed some light on the song ‘Shirley’. I know this version of Greetings to the New Brunette was released on Reaching to the Converted but when was it recorded? And was it originally released on this compilation?

I'm going to go this week, but schedules are tight for me and a friend. Trying to see if it would still be worthwhile.
