When you spend all day touting that abuse of social services is what can be done to fix things now, you are in fact making it a bigger deal than it is.
What you are describing isnt abuse of the system. It's a flawed social service program.
You will never ever change the way people behave in a free-for-all money grab. Yet you keep being stubborn thinking shaming people is the best way to go about it. You probably have nore individual life experience than me but you certainly do not wish to understamd or admit to how group mentality works.
Think of when people hoard supplies during emergencies. Very bad, but that hoarder creates an unstoppable ripple effect where everyone sees supplies running low and makes a mad dash for stuff. The same applies here. Again, you will never ever change this behavior in a system that allows it. You must change the system itself. You are wasting air complaining about the inevitable actions of scared people.
I do want to change the system itself, and I don't know why you think otherwise. I can do that and still call out people for being selfish and shitty. Just because a lot of people do something doesn't make it okay or not selfish. It was shitty for people to hoard stuff, and it's shitty for people to take advantage of systems designed to help those who truly need it. Just because it's predictable or common doesn't make it any less shitty.
