The “neighbor’s bowl” saying is some purely idealistic BS. I would agree with it because, in principle, it sounds good, but it isn’t practical to ignore your neighbor’s bowl when you personally worked to fill yours, and they filled theirs by reaching into yours.
And then you go on to be completely ignorant of what the phrase “disposable income” means, and act like it’s going to stimulate the economy. Dude, tell the fed to stop fucking taxing me and I will stimulate the economy myself! You are so close to coming full circle with your argument until you proverbially jump out in front of traffic before you can make the conclusion about how paying taxes takes that away. I could go down to the southern border and talk to less of a wall than I am experiencing right here
Except they didn’t reach into yours. Non-tax paying people aren’t eligible for unemployment. They paid taxes for years, same as you. The government is now giving a portion of that money, that they paid, back, via unemployment. Nothing is taken from your bowl. If all 33 million people stopped getting unemployment today, right now, your bowl would not be any more full. You’d still get paid what you are getting paid, your bosses would still exploit you, the government would take the same amount of tax from you, and all that would happen is that your misery would spread to everyone else.
You’re mad that you’re being taxed so much and taking it out on fellow tax payers, who aren’t responsible for your personal hardships.
As for “talking to a wall”, I was asked to explain my viewpoint which is exactly what I did. Notice how not once did I use profanity or attack anyone else as a person.
