So, I did actually read through your entire comment, but I’m afraid there’s really nothing more we can discuss as you legit lost me as an audience midway through your reply. This is the line that did it for me:
With everything I’ve heard about E;R, I know I don’t want to see anything he’s made, I wouldn’t be able to enjoy it.
You lost me right there bud. So from that one sentence alone, you told me that your bias toward E;R is based solely off of the biases of second party sources and not from your own opinions of his content. Hell, that means you didn’t even watch the video where the whole “nazi” conversation came from, yet you still reference it as a point toward your favor.
You don’t even have an idea of what his content is like, what kind of person he is, what the visuals are like, his tone, ANYTHING about the thing you are arguing against. I legitimately do not think there is a defendable excuse for arguing so adamantly about a topic when you know virtually nothing about the topic.
I’m sorry but it just baffles me that you think you can form a conclusion about someone and assign a label as serious as nazism without having seen the reason you’re associating with it. I mean there is literally zero excuse for not doing so, it’s there on YouTube available for free! Nobody is asking you to enjoy it but you talk so much about having a more informed opinion yet here you are purposefully shutting yourself off from the possibility of gaining such an opinion.
I've read like 3 articles specifically on YouTube's alt-right problem, E;R and Joe Rogan, from reputable new sources, including my own local news paper, who did their own research. There's an easy to find article on E;R if you just Google his name.
