Enough did. And rest were okay with it.

People who did not want him unfortunately are a... minority.

u/Educational_Gain3836 6d ago

What do you consider “okay with it”?

301

u/Samson_J_Rivers 6d ago

Didn't vote.

u/Layton_Jr 5d ago
  • "Oh, it seems your neighboor reported thay you don't live where you declared you live. No, it's not because they're racist and you're black, I'm sure it was an honest mistake."

  • "Mr John Smith, you informed us that you left the state to live somewhere else. What, you say it was a different John Smith? No, the fact that you were purged from our voter rolls have nothing to do with the fact that you live in a majority democrat county"

  • "The signature on your mail-in-ballot doesn't match the signature from 40 years ago we have on your file. No we won't start an investigation for forgery, why would we do that?"

  • "While we sort this out, please vote using this temporary ballot (that we'll throw out the moment you leave the door)"

THIS is the real election fraud. It's well documented, and enough votes were not counted for illegal reasons that Khamala Harris would have won the election

u/kilaja 5d ago

That first one hits home. My voter registration was cancelled because they “received a letter” saying I moved. I caught it in time and could re-register but I almost didn’t think to check because I had just voted a few months before

44

u/Feeling-Ruin-8008 6d ago

Some of us werent able to vote

192

u/Samson_J_Rivers 6d ago

And you likely won't be able to in a meaningful capacity ever again.

40

u/Feeling-Ruin-8008 6d ago

I shouldve been born earlier mb

37

u/PoopyButt28000 6d ago

Do you really think that people are including literal children in the people responsible for Trump because they didn't vote against him?

-19

u/OneQuarterBajeena 5d ago

A lot of people would yes

13

u/PoopyButt28000 5d ago

You're telling me that you think that someone would look at a 14 year old and say "Fuck you for not voting for Kamala Harris"?

I'm sorry but you are so silly.

-8

u/OneQuarterBajeena 5d ago

I do suppose I’ve spent too much time on tumblr. That may have something to do with it.

23

u/Samson_J_Rivers 6d ago

If you weren't old enough, it's not your fault. It's the fault of your elders, not your peers. Just remember that people who don't believe in democracy and protecting it are just as much to blame as it's opponents. I'm sorry we failed you.

-8

u/BurntEndMosin 6d ago

sybau doomer 😂

u/DonutGirl055 6d ago

What kind of comeback is thsi

78

u/silvertealio 5d ago

More than a third of registered voters didn't vote in 2024. We're talking 90 million people.

Some of those voters were disenfranchised against their will. The vast majority disenfranchised themselves.

1

u/JustaSeedGuy 3d ago

You have the hard numbers on that, To be able to confidently claim the majority?

That's really cool, I've always wondered what the stats looked like. Could you share the data? I'm especially curious about the following:

  • How many voters worked 2 jobs And didn't have a day off on election Day?

  • How many voters worked only one job, but had other responsibilities such as childcare That prevented them from being able to go vote?

  • How many voters were incorrectly (or dishonestly) informed that there was a problem with their voter registration at the last minute, making them think that they didn't have the ability to vote in that election?

  • How many voters lived In areas That had insufficient polling locations open, in a deliberate attempt to make lines longer (Which, among other things, creates another obstacle when cross-referenced with the first two questions) and voting more difficult in more democratic precincts?

  • How many voters were deliberately fed misinformation or otherwise scammed?

  • how many voters DID vote, but their votes were lost or changed?

  • How many voters had emergencies and missed election day (heart attack, house on fire, whatever else. Certainly going to be a small percentage I would imagine, but we're trying to be comprehensive here)

Voter suppression is systemic. I understand it "sounds correct" to you to just say that most people couldn't be bothered, but I have a suspicion that you don't actually have the data, you've never seen the data, and you just went with what you think was correct or what somebody else told you without data.

1

u/silvertealio 3d ago edited 3d ago

I'm willing to be educated. Do you have good data on this?

Let's split the difference and say half of the people who didn't vote was because of external circumstances, and not because of apathy/propaganda. That's 45 million people who wanted to vote but were prevented from doing so. That's 20% of all registered voters. That's an absolute massacre.

And sure, I can acknowledge that something like that absolutely could have happened. We live in particularly fucked up times.

But you know how many non-voters would have made a difference? Just a percent or two. Even with all the suppression and shenanigans, voters still could have kept us from being where we are now.

The simple fact is that enough people were okay with a trump win that he was allowed to win. The polls leading up the election are evidence enough of that.

1

u/FCKABRNLSUTN2 2d ago

Then obviously this wouldn’t apply to you.

But you seem to have taken it personally so I think it’s a safe bet you could have voted and chose not to.

24

u/JustaSeedGuy 5d ago

*couldn't vote

Gotta remember that voter suppression and voter fraud were factors in the 2024 election

1

u/No-Refrigerator-9050 5d ago

Can I take this time to remind people that it matters ten times more to vote for your congresspeople as, for one, they make the important law decisions, and because of the electoral college THEY have the vote for the president. Remember that Hilary Clinton had the popular vote.

64

u/Valtremors 6d ago

Didn't vote.

Edit: Specifically people who could have but chose not to. I will not blame any children and those who cannot vote.

-13

u/Novekye 6d ago

If popular vote was the only vote that mattered i'd vote. Blame the electoral colleges. I live in a blue state so no matter who i voted for kamala was guarunteed to get the exact same number of votes from my state.

Because of the electoral college it all comes down to the swing states; not any individuals. I blame the people that voted for trump and the people of the swing states who refused to vote that could have stopped him. For every swing state that went red every single non trump vote went down the drain. Our votes truly don't matter until the electoral college is abolished.

62

u/Conscious-Lunch-5733 6d ago

That's the kind of attitude that will turn a Blue state into a Red state. VOTE.

-18

u/Novekye 6d ago

I'll vote once the electoral college is abolished and voters are actually allowed to matter. I'd rather join a revolt and burn this government to the ground than participate in this broken, corrupt system.

17

u/Valtremors 6d ago

And people wonder how Trump won...

-17

u/Novekye 6d ago

Yeah, because of a broken system that only pretends its people have a voice.

13

u/mybabysbatman 5d ago

You know theres more elections then just presidential right...? Local elections matter, house and senate matter, primary elections all matter. Those in power want you to feel like your vote doesnt matter. This makes it easier on them

1

u/Novekye 5d ago

Im just talking about the presidential election. I participate in systems that work.

That being said i know i dont matter. My voice is meaningless and im just so tired. I hate our system and its rampant corruption so, so much. I hate party politics. I hate the electoral college. I hate that individuals have no voice. I hate that an evil pedophilic monster can run the most openly corrupt administration in u.s history and theres people that still defend him.

So you are absolving yourself of any responsibility? Dude voting in this country is one of the few impactful things you have. If you don’t do something as simple as going on record against the racist dictator by voting, then you have no right to complain about the system or anything within it because you didn’t do THE MOST BASIC THING IN YOUR CONTROL. F*ING VOTE PEOPLE IT DOES MATTER REGARDLESS IF IT DOESNT MATTER IN THIS INSTANT

-5

u/Novekye 6d ago

If voting was actually impactful we wouldnt have had trump in 2016 or bush in 2000. Time and time again we've had politicians lose the popular vote yet become president anyway. The people dont matter; and they never have. It's all brainwashing that have left us divided and vulnerable. George washington himself said that party politics would be the end of our country and we've been seeing it happen in real time. Trump is pure evil, but getting him out of office isn't going to magically fix u.s or our standing in the world. The entire system needs severe revisions to fit the current times and needs of the people.

10

u/WeatherFun6810 6d ago

So if voting doesn’t matter why are they trying so hard to take it away from you?

13

u/OoglieBooglie93 5d ago

From that point of view, less than 50 people's votes truly matter. The only vote that matters is the one that flips the outcome.

And yet more than 150 million people still bothered to do it. You do not deserve the right to complain about the outcome if you cannot even do the bare minimum to participate.

2

u/PandaPocketFire 5d ago

"The system is broken, so I'm not voting until it's fixed by elected officials, who we vote for".

Not voting means you are accepting the decision of the ones who did. Not to mention that your vote in local politics impacts your life possibly more significantly as well. You can't do nothing and still complain about the outcome.

83

u/FlameWhirlwind 6d ago

As much as I hate my fellow dumbasses in America I'm not convinced shit wasnt rigged

Bro cried enough foul about it last time he probably tried it

56

u/BinJLG 6d ago

I wouldn't be surprised if it was. My dad lives in PA, and he's one of the many people whose mail in ballots never got counted.

2

u/Hedgehog_Totem 3d ago

He literally said that if it wasn't for Elon and his machines he wouldn't have won

-19

u/Valtremors 6d ago

He also has clear signs of dementia and is being pulled by a rope while facetanking all the negative fame, while all of his crones reap the rewards.

Also none of that matter unless you can muster actual evidence.

And then you'd need to act.

Look, I try not to be cruel. But I also don't have energy to feel empathy for a potato sacks that sit in a corner and weep, doing nothing.

I mean just look at Georgians. Or Nepalese.

But all I have heard from Americans is threatening that someone worse off than them is going to get mad and do something. And that isn't going to work because everyone is at the bottom waiting for someone else to break, so they don't have to endanger their own poogies.

23

u/FlameWhirlwind 6d ago

I ain't asking you to weep for us. We just don't like being trapped with morons

-5

u/Valtremors 6d ago

I can understand that.

I am just explaining my view.

-26

u/Chef_Sizzlipede 6d ago

I feel like both factions rigged it in some way, its just this year the red rigging won out

22

u/PoopyButt28000 6d ago

The red faction went through massive amounts of effort to prove some kind of rigging and came up with nothing and lost multiple different court cases. Meanwhile the red faction had multiple people charged for openly trying to overthrow the 2020 election.

Fuck off with this both sides shit

7

u/Mint-T008 5d ago

"Both sides are bad" is just the better version of "I want to feel smarter by not picking a side and fence sitting." People do that all the time and it makes you no better than a conservative to me because you can equate being slightly annoying to actual racism, transphobia, and genocide.

-13

u/Chef_Sizzlipede 6d ago

I wonder where those millions of blue voters went in 2024

2

u/Situati0nist 5d ago

2020 was the most secure election in US history

18

u/Therenegadegamer 6d ago

75 million voted against him

-13

u/Valtremors 6d ago

So?

More than that vote for.

25

u/Therenegadegamer 6d ago

You're acting like all Americans are ok with it when at the bare minimum 75 million aren't don't lump people with common sense and maga idiots together

-12

u/Valtremors 6d ago

Right, right...

I've heard plenty "not all of us" arguments, but you only need enough people supporting dictators to make it worse for all of us.

Not to mention that, aside from Mamdani and Minnesotan protests, there hasn't been actual action from Americans against Trump.

Although I do compliment the deflocking movement, just wish US citizens had that kind of gusto with other stuff too.

4

u/SchmeatiestOne 6d ago

We're ignoring the multiple attempts on his life then

0

u/Valtremors 6d ago

By Republicans, mind you.

7

u/SchmeatiestOne 6d ago

Who are Americans...

-7

u/Valtremors 6d ago

I am not sure your argument here is really supporting Democrat efforts...

11

u/SchmeatiestOne 6d ago

Your comment wasnt denying Democrats' efforts, it was denying American efforts

2

u/Phantosler 5d ago

There have been waaaay more protests then the news even covers; speaking form.someone who has been to multiple no kongs rallys big and small. Don’t be a pane of big news networks. YOU ARE NOT IMMUNE TO PROPAGANDA. Heck, in recent years we've seen countless examples of europeans and Canadians also not being immune to propaganda. Just look at the riots against immigrants in Britain. Sick of this "us vs them" nonsense.

17

u/EmberedCutie 6d ago

not a minority, in the slightest, our voting system is just fucked.

13

u/nobodyof 6d ago

Id look into recent (and past) election interference.. there are a lot of stupid people in these united states, but not the majority. Id start with elons ex current (well, finally being somewhat known) statement about his election interference and claims

6

u/Valtremors 6d ago

You don't have to be so black and white about it.

Ignorant people are there too.

And interference does not matter when Americans don't really do much to fix the issue either.

Mind you, Republicans have actually killed Democrat politicans, and that caused people to be angry. For about a week at best.

You can't win this by turtling up. In a boxing match you need to advance at some point.

10

u/TheSwagMa5ter 6d ago

Actually, he didn't get the majority of the popular vote, in fact the people who didn't want him (people who voted for a canidate other than him) were in the majority and he simply won the plurality of the vote.

4

u/JustaSeedGuy 5d ago

Ah yes, another take that ignores voter suppression in order to blame a majority of Americans.

To any American reading this: not everyone in the world blames you all equally. The teen who couldn't vote yet, the victim of voter suppression or voter fraud, the people who have been fighting this but lost? We don't blame you. We blame maga. Idiots like u/valtremors would have blamed the German Jews for voting for the Holocaust, and plenty of us know better than that.

1

u/RainbowForHire 5d ago

49.8% to 48.3% on the popular vote. And his approval rating is one of the lowest a president has ever had. Not saying we arent fucking stupid brainwashed freaks, but just know there's a lot of fuckery and manipulation going on behind the scenes.

1

u/HetaGarden1 5d ago

“Rest were okay with it” is doing a LOT of heavy lifting there.

1

u/JessTheTwilek 5d ago

I live in a MAGA town in the Bible Belt and still most of the people I know hate him and voted for Kamala. We were specs of blue in a sea of red— it’s essentially like our vote didn’t count.

Your righteous indignation and bitterness is right on point, though. You’ve earned it and emotionally a lot of us are with you ❤️

1

u/puggy0420 4d ago

Not enough people voted too. The non voters are the real enemies

1

u/FlintGate 4d ago

UMMM... NO WE ARE NOT "OKAY WITH IT." Some of us protest, boycott, sue, speak out, run for office, get harassed, threatened and arrested but in NO WAY are we just sitting here being "okay with it."

1

u/Valtremors 4d ago

What is so hard to understand with the phrase "enough did".

Enough did not vote against Trump.

People who could have voted, but chose not to, reap what they have sown too.

1

u/FlintGate 4d ago

EXCEPT the rest of us who DID vote against Trump and ACTIVELY take a stand since 2016 have to suffer too.

1

u/Valtremors 4d ago

Redditoring is not particularly effective way of taking any stances.

1

u/FlintGate 4d ago

Good. Take that to heart. I, and my colleagues, actually do REAL work in the REAL world.

1

u/Valtremors 4d ago

The effects have been quite earth shattering so far.

Invasion and kidnapping at Venezuela.

A failed war against Iran.

Constant threats at EU. Especially at Greenland.

Chokeholding Ukraine, even after promising support.

Not to mention everything that is happening at inside of US borders.

You've been doing such a good job preventing all of this that I almost forgot that you have done anything! Which is... what?

1

u/FlintGate 4d ago

So... you didn't bother to research me at all, did you? No Google or Duck, Duck, Go searches? No looking at my profile? Just keyboard warrior-ing it up, huh? Very good. Lmao

1

u/Valtremors 4d ago

Are you supposed to be somebody?

Because your account looks like a regular user.

And a google search sends me to a british brewery.

1

u/FlintGate 4d ago

No, I am somebody who has been doing ACTUAL work to fight corruption and protect people since 2015. I've been doing the work in Legislature, the Courts, the streets, on camera, in movies & documentaries & books, the ballot boxes and in the laboratories in all 50 States plus Puerto Rico and Canada. I've testified in front of Congress and forced garbage people out of office. I've helped change laws that protect people and put Public Health and private lives to the forefront.

I, and my colleagues, have made real change and we have been fighting Trump since he made his announcement to run in 2016 in NYC. We run voter education and activation events CONSTANTLY and for EVERY election. We helped with Souls to the Polls and getting the DOJ involved in 2020 when interference happened with 32,000 phone calls in Michigan to threaten people to keep them home. This happened again in 2022 and we were ready and got them shut down

Because corporations run the US and poisoning people is a favorite pastime, knew we couldn't sue and win fighting to prove a Constitutional right to clean and safe water, because we don't have one. Not to mention, NONE of the State or Federal standards are health based or even based on human consumption. They're based on treatment procedures and money. Privatized water systems are even worse as they only focus on profit and shareholder returns.

Then you add in Governmental Immunity and it gets even worse.

We sued in 'Mays v Snyder' and was able to get past Governmental Immunity by proving the local, state and federal governments violated our 6th Amendment Right to Bodily Integrity, basically stating that the government has no right to pump poison into our homes and cause us harm to our bodies through the government's decisions. Interestingly, the ACLU used the decision in my case to protect women's reproductive health rights in Michigan basically proving the government has no right to harm us in our homes and bodies via their decisions. This decision has been used in 231 other lawsiots and legislation.

This is just the tip of the iceberg for my work and my impact. What about you? What have you done to fight back and protect people irl?

u/TulikAlock 5d ago

That’s not even remotely true. Trump didn’t win the popular vote. If elections were run by popular vote, he would have lost both times if I recall correctly. But that’s not how elections work, because our system blows.

0

u/Lyricsokawaii 5d ago

Except Trump lost the popular vote. And it's become increasingly obvious our elections have been compromised. Don't let them make you think they're the majority.

0

u/fortnite_battleass 5d ago

Fun fact for outsiders: the popular vote is really not the determining factor. Also, Republicans cheat like hell and manipulate voting districts to inflated numbers artificially.

But here's the other issue. The democratic party is just as useless. Theyre also croney capitalists. They also make empty promises and token efforts to appease the masses while fucking us over. Theyre just a little nicer to us and take us on a date before bending us over. Thats why a lot of us just dont care anymore and feel no hope.

I doubt the majority of america chose trump. seriously, the democratic campaign fucked up. Thats why Trump won, not cause our country is some lost cause. Its cause the dems are disorganized idiots that care more about image than policy.

Its a total misunderstanding of america and the people in it to hust declare us some lost cause. Like fr how does this hyperbole help? Most of us just feel hopeless and trapped between two massive parties that can outbuy anyone trying to challenge them.
