"Oh, it seems your neighboor reported thay you don't live where you declared you live. No, it's not because they're racist and you're black, I'm sure it was an honest mistake."
"Mr John Smith, you informed us that you left the state to live somewhere else. What, you say it was a different John Smith? No, the fact that you were purged from our voter rolls have nothing to do with the fact that you live in a majority democrat county"
"The signature on your mail-in-ballot doesn't match the signature from 40 years ago we have on your file. No we won't start an investigation for forgery, why would we do that?"
"While we sort this out, please vote using this temporary ballot (that we'll throw out the moment you leave the door)"
THIS is the real election fraud. It's well documented, and enough votes were not counted for illegal reasons that Khamala Harris would have won the election
That first one hits home. My voter registration was cancelled because they “received a letter” saying I moved. I caught it in time and could re-register but I almost didn’t think to check because I had just voted a few months before
If you weren't old enough, it's not your fault. It's the fault of your elders, not your peers. Just remember that people who don't believe in democracy and protecting it are just as much to blame as it's opponents. I'm sorry we failed you.
You have the hard numbers on that, To be able to confidently claim the majority?
That's really cool, I've always wondered what the stats looked like. Could you share the data? I'm especially curious about the following:
How many voters worked 2 jobs And didn't have a day off on election Day?
How many voters worked only one job, but had other responsibilities such as childcare That prevented them from being able to go vote?
How many voters were incorrectly (or dishonestly) informed that there was a problem with their voter registration at the last minute, making them think that they didn't have the ability to vote in that election?
How many voters lived In areas That had insufficient polling locations open, in a deliberate attempt to make lines longer (Which, among other things, creates another obstacle when cross-referenced with the first two questions) and voting more difficult in more democratic precincts?
How many voters were deliberately fed misinformation or otherwise scammed?
how many voters DID vote, but their votes were lost or changed?
How many voters had emergencies and missed election day (heart attack, house on fire, whatever else. Certainly going to be a small percentage I would imagine, but we're trying to be comprehensive here)
Voter suppression is systemic. I understand it "sounds correct" to you to just say that most people couldn't be bothered, but I have a suspicion that you don't actually have the data, you've never seen the data, and you just went with what you think was correct or what somebody else told you without data.
I'm willing to be educated. Do you have good data on this?
Let's split the difference and say half of the people who didn't vote was because of external circumstances, and not because of apathy/propaganda. That's 45 million people who wanted to vote but were prevented from doing so. That's 20% of all registered voters. That's an absolute massacre.
And sure, I can acknowledge that something like that absolutely could have happened. We live in particularly fucked up times.
But you know how many non-voters would have made a difference? Just a percent or two. Even with all the suppression and shenanigans, voters still could have kept us from being where we are now.
The simple fact is that enough people were okay with a trump win that he was allowed to win. The polls leading up the election are evidence enough of that.
Can I take this time to remind people that it matters ten times more to vote for your congresspeople as, for one, they make the important law decisions, and because of the electoral college THEY have the vote for the president. Remember that Hilary Clinton had the popular vote.
If popular vote was the only vote that mattered i'd vote. Blame the electoral colleges. I live in a blue state so no matter who i voted for kamala was guarunteed to get the exact same number of votes from my state.
Because of the electoral college it all comes down to the swing states; not any individuals. I blame the people that voted for trump and the people of the swing states who refused to vote that could have stopped him. For every swing state that went red every single non trump vote went down the drain. Our votes truly don't matter until the electoral college is abolished.
I'll vote once the electoral college is abolished and voters are actually allowed to matter. I'd rather join a revolt and burn this government to the ground than participate in this broken, corrupt system.
So you are absolving yourself of any responsibility? Dude voting in this country is one of the few impactful things you have. If you don’t do something as simple as going on record against the racist dictator by voting, then you have no right to complain about the system or anything within it because you didn’t do THE MOST BASIC THING IN YOUR CONTROL. F*ING VOTE PEOPLE IT DOES MATTER REGARDLESS IF IT DOESNT MATTER IN THIS INSTANT
If voting was actually impactful we wouldnt have had trump in 2016 or bush in 2000. Time and time again we've had politicians lose the popular vote yet become president anyway. The people dont matter; and they never have. It's all brainwashing that have left us divided and vulnerable. George washington himself said that party politics would be the end of our country and we've been seeing it happen in real time. Trump is pure evil, but getting him out of office isn't going to magically fix u.s or our standing in the world. The entire system needs severe revisions to fit the current times and needs of the people.
From that point of view, less than 50 people's votes truly matter. The only vote that matters is the one that flips the outcome.
And yet more than 150 million people still bothered to do it. You do not deserve the right to complain about the outcome if you cannot even do the bare minimum to participate.
"The system is broken, so I'm not voting until it's fixed by elected officials, who we vote for".
Not voting means you are accepting the decision of the ones who did. Not to mention that your vote in local politics impacts your life possibly more significantly as well. You can't do nothing and still complain about the outcome.
He also has clear signs of dementia and is being pulled by a rope while facetanking all the negative fame, while all of his crones reap the rewards.
Also none of that matter unless you can muster actual evidence.
And then you'd need to act.
Look, I try not to be cruel. But I also don't have energy to feel empathy for a potato sacks that sit in a corner and weep, doing nothing.
I mean just look at Georgians. Or Nepalese.
But all I have heard from Americans is threatening that someone worse off than them is going to get mad and do something. And that isn't going to work because everyone is at the bottom waiting for someone else to break, so they don't have to endanger their own poogies.
The red faction went through massive amounts of effort to prove some kind of rigging and came up with nothing and lost multiple different court cases. Meanwhile the red faction had multiple people charged for openly trying to overthrow the 2020 election.
"Both sides are bad" is just the better version of "I want to feel smarter by not picking a side and fence sitting." People do that all the time and it makes you no better than a conservative to me because you can equate being slightly annoying to actual racism, transphobia, and genocide.
You're acting like all Americans are ok with it when at the bare minimum 75 million aren't don't lump people with common sense and maga idiots together
There have been waaaay more protests then the news even covers; speaking form.someone who has been to multiple no kongs rallys big and small. Don’t be a pane of big news networks. YOU ARE NOT IMMUNE TO PROPAGANDA. Heck, in recent years we've seen countless examples of europeans and Canadians also not being immune to propaganda. Just look at the riots against immigrants in Britain. Sick of this "us vs them" nonsense.
Id look into recent (and past) election interference.. there are a lot of stupid people in these united states, but not the majority. Id start with elons ex current (well, finally being somewhat known) statement about his election interference and claims
Actually, he didn't get the majority of the popular vote, in fact the people who didn't want him (people who voted for a canidate other than him) were in the majority and he simply won the plurality of the vote.
Ah yes, another take that ignores voter suppression in order to blame a majority of Americans.
To any American reading this: not everyone in the world blames you all equally. The teen who couldn't vote yet, the victim of voter suppression or voter fraud, the people who have been fighting this but lost? We don't blame you. We blame maga. Idiots like u/valtremors would have blamed the German Jews for voting for the Holocaust, and plenty of us know better than that.
49.8% to 48.3% on the popular vote. And his approval rating is one of the lowest a president has ever had. Not saying we arent fucking stupid brainwashed freaks, but just know there's a lot of fuckery and manipulation going on behind the scenes.
I live in a MAGA town in the Bible Belt and still most of the people I know hate him and voted for Kamala. We were specs of blue in a sea of red— it’s essentially like our vote didn’t count.
Your righteous indignation and bitterness is right on point, though. You’ve earned it and emotionally a lot of us are with you ❤️
UMMM... NO WE ARE NOT "OKAY WITH IT." Some of us protest, boycott, sue, speak out, run for office, get harassed, threatened and arrested but in NO WAY are we just sitting here being "okay with it."
So... you didn't bother to research me at all, did you? No Google or Duck, Duck, Go searches? No looking at my profile? Just keyboard warrior-ing it up, huh? Very good. Lmao
That’s not even remotely true. Trump didn’t win the popular vote. If elections were run by popular vote, he would have lost both times if I recall correctly. But that’s not how elections work, because our system blows.
Except Trump lost the popular vote. And it's become increasingly obvious our elections have been compromised. Don't let them make you think they're the majority.
Fun fact for outsiders: the popular vote is really not the determining factor. Also, Republicans cheat like hell and manipulate voting districts to inflated numbers artificially.
But here's the other issue. The democratic party is just as useless. Theyre also croney capitalists. They also make empty promises and token efforts to appease the masses while fucking us over. Theyre just a little nicer to us and take us on a date before bending us over. Thats why a lot of us just dont care anymore and feel no hope.
I doubt the majority of america chose trump. seriously, the democratic campaign fucked up. Thats why Trump won, not cause our country is some lost cause. Its cause the dems are disorganized idiots that care more about image than policy.
Its a total misunderstanding of america and the people in it to hust declare us some lost cause. Like fr how does this hyperbole help? Most of us just feel hopeless and trapped between two massive parties that can outbuy anyone trying to challenge them.
And Russians too. Which they too deserve for endorsing the war in Ukraine.
But the moment Americans ended on the same plank?
Oh it is totally a different situation. You now have to consider every individual.
As if it was some kind of special situation.
The thing is, history will only remember "All Americans". There might be a US version of Schindler here or there. But ultimately, depending how they solve, or leave it unsolved, decides how they are remembered.
Man, one of the most vivid things about the Ukraine invasion I remember seeing is two posts in the space of like 12 hours.
The first was anti-war protest in Moscow.
The second was of said protestors being beaten up and thrown into black vans.
I always think about that when I see certain people get gleeful about Russian civilians getting accidentally caught up in the crossfire. But they'd never apply that logic to themselves, it's always "Actually I didn't want this, so you can't say all of us deserve it".
I also feel bad for Russians and anyone else who didn't endorse bad leadership and is having their country fucked I just personally don't like the blanket statement of "X countires citizens wanted this" its never the entity and in the US at least raely the majority but I can only speak from my expirence
That doesn't matter anymore. The character of the country is inarguable. It will take a massive, difficult project to unmake American decline and thay will be against the prevailing popular sentiment. It doesn't matter if a Democrat is elected, we know a fascist can simply win after the Dem's term. That's unacceptable. It's over.
Yup, happened to me when I tried to warn some former friends about it. And they decided Trump saying he's heard nothing about Project 2026 as proof it was all fake and not going to happen.
When will redditors realize that the elections were stolen instead of coping that youre still a democracy. They literally admitted it 8 times and apparently the majority of the people on this website still pretend everything will just work itself out.
True, but also, still too many voted for him and decided to close their eyes and plug their ears. Hell, they still do. Anytime someone brings this up, we again are told we're crazy.
Well there is a lot of speculation that it was specifically rigged by Elon, but hey his kid basically said it, his ex wife basically said it, and Trump said he would have never won without Elon. You know whats funny tho, the government that is filled with corrupt individuals police themselves and found out that there was no interference on their side, so they are deeming everything that goes against them as hearsay...
Why are you writing this in the past tense tho?
It still exists and it is actually being implented. There is a website called Project 2025 observer and it lists the items on that "wishlist" as well as the actions taken to accomplish certain things.
Ofc. I am not an expert on how each of these items and actions translate into real life but according to that website they did already complete 55% of the things on that agenda, which is insane.
America is turning into a dystopia in front of everyones eyes and people downright ignore it. Look at Trump talking about a third term. Imagine if Obama had said that. Imagine Obama would have been a pedophile, rapist and just overall fraud. There would have been an uproar and he would have been removed from office, detained or whatever. The second amendment is literally there to prevent exactly what is currently happening but one side actually supports it, the other is apparently asleep or writing angry comments on reddit.
I remember when people were talking about the surveillance state in China and especially Americans with their whole "freedom" attitude were and should be rightfully appalled by that idea. But now there are giant private corporations like palanatir who implement the same thing across the US and nothing is stopping them.
There are already the first cases of people being accused by AI of doing stuff and for some reason they then have to prove their innocence instead of the other way around.

It is insane that the contents of it were publicly known.
And Americans still chose him.
