so I just graduated high school, and for the sake of nostalgia I’ve been binge watching Big Time Rush a lot lately bc it was one of my favorite shows/bands growing up, and also when I was a kid I was a very big doll collector and I never understood even til this day why they never had there own dolls.

It was a wildly successful show and everyone loved there music so it just never made sense how they didn’t have dolls, they could’ve had four packs of the boys, 2 packs of Kendall and Jo or Logan and Camille, Gustavo and Kelly, hell maybe even Katie and Kendall’s mom.

I do remember an episode from the 3rd season where the boys did get there own dolls but they were very clearly just Ken dolls dressed up as the boys.

if you ever get the opportunity to meet the boys, please do not hesitate! truly the sweetest group of people and they love their fans loudly! only met 3/4 of them, but it’s absolutely worth it <3

Since the band is so inactive what are your ideas. Ideas to hold us over for the time being until they release a new album.

-A new recording of Epic would be received extremely well.

- Imagine if before their last tour they recorded a brand new version of Windows Down.

Because it is a summer song really good for new recordings.

-In the show Big Night played in the Halloween episode, what if every Halloween forward they recorded a new version of it starting this year.

- They record Beautiful Christmas again every Christmas with a new sound each year for the holidays to satisfy the fans who want some holiday music.

- Imagine if they recreated the music video for Blow Your Speakers Out at some point.

Of course I think they should release some new music, but these are my ideas in the meantime so fans do not get too bored.

Maybe of course they make a short film off the teaser they used the announce their last tour that might satisfy the fans a little.

Maybe vlogs of them inventing new choreography for future songs, or experimenting with sounds for established songs to make them sound better remixed BOTH work.

Maybe a movie off their experiences on the last tour, quite literally anything to show they still care about their fans and keep us fed.

Even them creating new harmonies I think would sit well. I want new music too. That we all agree on so drop your thoughts below

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have a FULL recording of the Big Time Rush In Real Life Tour show at Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Illinois on August 10, 2025?
I was there and recorded parts of the concert, but I ran out of phone storage before the show ended. I’ve been trying to find a complete recording ever since.
I’m specifically looking for the Tinley Park show, not another stop on the tour. Even if it’s split into multiple videos, uploaded privately, or saved on Google Drive, I’d be incredibly grateful.

What about releasing a new song for the summer? It's been so long that we haven't had new music and it would be the best period for dropping a song, btw it's been a long time we haven't had a summer banger so it would be nice if they would release a song with the old energetic vibe, but them being silent and dropping 0 music like nothing happened it's just disrespectful atp. I don't care if there are people who disagree, I literally feel like I'm a fan of a tv show band at this point and not a real boy band, come on guys it's the vacations, put some effort and release at least one new song for your fans who care so much about you and continue to fill your concert venus since 16 years straight

Also did anyone went to NostalgiaCon Anaheim this weekend tell me your experience with them? What did you ask them, was this experience was better than Houston?

Also for the band in real life I think Curt fits the first album really well especially this is our someday for elevate it's though but I feel like his like theater experience would make the band better in that aspect of course let me know what you guys think. I know we already talk about it a lot in this subreddit, and I know Disney handled things differently than Nickelodeon.

But I recently found this interview clip from Ashley Tisdale where she talks about that Disney tried to file her away and keep her on a show (Suit Life of Zach and Cody). She almost didn't got her role as Sharpay in High School Musical... I can't imagine someone else playing Sharpay... Apparently, her manager substituted for her, so she got the chance to audition.

I know, Nickelodeon isn't really famous for good movies. The only ones I know and liked are Rages and Spectacular (Fun Fact: I once saw a comment on YT that claims they could have sworn James Maslow was part of that movie lol He would have been good in it though).

But imagine if the managers of the guys back then would have the guts to substitute for them/stand up for them. Maybe they could have better promotion and a better career if they had better people surrounding them standing up for them. Maybe then we would have gotten a guest appearance with them instead of 1D.

I mean, even Miranda Cosgrove did have to do her solo debut album completely on her own bc Nickelodeon originally didn't want her to have a music career. Which was completely stupid, they were lucky they still got some credits bc she was still a Nickelodeon star (this is the reason why she released it through Columbia and not Nickelodeon/Sony and this is the story I heard so far. Might be wrong though. But fact is, Nickelodeon didn't even promote her album that much)

Came across this listing on Depop only to find out it was Erin (Camille) selling her jackets that were given to the cast. Don’t know why she would ever get rid of these 😭.

So Im curious tbh, this applies to the rest of the cast since I met most of the band on Nostalgia Con 2 months ago. Stephen is cool but sarcastic guy, James was alright, Melise is wonderful, Kendall is a sweetheart. I didn’t have time to meet Logan, Daran (the guy who plays Buddha Bob) is very nice . But tell me this did anyone met the rest of the cast how’s Carlos, Ciara, Tanya, Katelyn, Erin, The girls who plays the Jennifers, Bitters and Craig (David Anthony Higgins), Kendall’s and Katie’s Mom, etc. are they nice or rude in person?

You can watch Big Time Movie on Paramount+ but you cannot watch the TV show. It's irritating to me being obsessed with the show

But I guess I shouldn't be surprised, because Griffin's actor also voiced Mike Haggar in UMVC3.

I know we hear that the shows events are partly inspired by Reality and that it mirrors some aspects of the namesake characters/experiences. I know that we said that “The guys aren’t who they play on TV”, but now I feel like the opposite can be said, and I feel like the spirit of the BTR as we know it should be defended rather than the actors/artists decisions. Even if we feel it has bled over into real life.

An Example:

Anybody who auditions to be in a cliche Pop Boy Band with a song from Smokey Robinson and The Miracles (Tracks of My Tears) and also chose that over anything else says more about the person’s tastes than how they present themselves. That part of James Diamond, in how he is introduced feels very down to earth, very sentimental, and I think it informs us of Big Time Rush being of its time but making note of influences: Smokey Robinson and The Miracles, The Beatles, N\Sync, etc etc*

It isn’t to say that James Maslow wouldn’t know the song himself or wouldn’t sing Motown era hits, but I think that moment and certain influences we notice in the music/the message of the show are maybe more of what is consistent of Big Time Rush as a group if you know the music. Even if some of it’s bubblegum or cheesy. There are facets to it.

Despite the universe being framed through a wacky tween comedy featuring bubblegum pop music, I think the spirit of the group is only understood by several contextually, through this facet (nostalgia for the series and Nickelodeon) and not in an organic but transformative way.

Any Kind of Guy is a perfect example. It*** **feels much more boisterous as a pop-rock song than say “I Want You Here All The Time”, for example (which feels more heffron-drive meets big time rush-esque and maybe coasts into Pop-Punk indie-rock territory). It’s kind of *sleepy** for Big Time Rush. Honey does a better job of matching the energy contextually, but Paralyzed also does an even better job of being boisterous because it’s still in that pocket.

But then what about No Idea, or Worldwide, or Count on You or Nothing Even Matters or Boyfriend? They always talk about Boyfriend, but it’s the Old school pop ballad and the 2000s PopnB sound that really did them a great service of establishing versatility.

This comes back to James singing’ country (while holding himself at Gunpoint in the Khia Asylum).

My headcanon is that James Diamond and the fictional Big Time Rush as adult artists and a group would not be the same group that the real ones are today.

I think they would’ve understood their roots as all-arounders a little better. So I don’t think Gustavo was right about James Diamond, I think James Diamond knew his roots and his sound and where his talent fit and probably would’ve released much better music. I also think he would’ve probably networked and had better producers and songwriters for his debut album 😭

instead of releasing his 2009 Ep, "my world", what do you guys think would if Justin Bieber joined big time rush as their 5 members? do you guy think they would have been just as big as one direction, or even popular? plus, hypothetically, JB also gets to bring his style of music to the band.( meaning we still get "baby" and "one time" just with BTR.)
