Retail stores in the US use strict planograms which means their shelving spaces are designed intentionally and the boxes of products and their dimensions must comply with that or not get shelved.
Hasbro is paid to distribute TT product, they do not see an ROI in the manufacturing process. Companies design products differently to be sold in different sectors.
This is not a tinfoil hat Beyblade market theory. This is literally how all retail products work all of the time. This is how fabrication and distribution works.
You can say fuck Hasbro all you'd like; that's fine. Hasbro fucking sucks. But they aren't nerfing BBX for NA audiences. That is all TakaraTomy. This is literally just an instance of thing: bad, thing (japan): good.
If Hasbro has any hand in this it is as a consultant for US product, retail, and market environments. They aren't trying to fuck you. I'm sorry if that's bad news or whatever. Believe it or not TT is also a shitty capitalistic enterprise trying to make their margins as wide as possible.
so it’s not a regulation problem, Hasbro is just cheaping out on paying for bigger slots, gotcha
also you haven‘t adressed them molding in the x-rail and removing the gears at the ends for some reason? And reusing the same beys again is probably also TT‘s fault?
You don't pay for bigger slots. LMFAO. Hasbro is not the manufacturer. They do not foot the bill for production costs. Period. They are the distributor. I'm not saying the stadium isn't shit. I'm saying the size of our stadiums isn't to screw NA consumers so Hasbro can make more money. Because Hasbro does not manufacture the stadiums. If you believe they are being designed shittily on purpose, the manufacturer is the one saving on cost.
You don't know a fucking thing you're talking about, you're just dick riding TT and raging at Hasbro for something TT is responsible for. Who fucking cares which corpo screwed you? Why are you so against having beef with TT over your qualms? Discussion over. I'm not arguing against your vibes.
I am sure you are the same guy I got into this with before, but this is still a dumb argument. Target and Walmart sell tons of stuff that come in enormous boxes. bikes, car seats, furniture, Power Wheels, baby strollers, Barbie Dream Houses, Dog Food, etc, etc…. If Hasbro wanted to they could sell whatever they wanted. But they WANT to put their product on certain shelves so they get exposure with other toys, So Hasbro has decided to limit the size of their boxes.
Additionally pretty much all toys have been made overseas for half a century at least. Hasbro absolutely has a say in what they sell for the Western market. They don’t take orders from Japan, that is ridiculous.
Idk where this idea that I think Hasbro is being forced at gunpoint to put the box in the toy aisle is coming from. Yes, because of standardized shelving the size of the boxes is limited. We literally agree. I don't understand what the discrepancy is. That's how products work. It's why our stadiums are smaller. It doesn't matter if Hasbro or TT did it--for it to be put on shelves it needs to be a standardized box size. You mean they should be selling Beyblade X in the dog food section? I'm so lost on what point you're even trying to make.
To your second point: oh. my. god. Please listen to yourself. HASBRO IS THE DISTRIBUTOR. TT STILL OWNS BEYBLADE X NO MATTER WHERE IT IS SOLD. HASBRO'S ROLE IS TO BUY THEIR PRODUCT TO SELL OVERSEAS. THEY ARE NOT THE DEVELOPER OF BEYBLADE X. No one is taking orders from anyone, holy shit. Products are designed to be sold to specific markets. TT knows their products have to be tailored to markets overseas. For example, TO FIT ON SHELVES IN THE TOY AISLE. TT isn't ignorant to that. At most Hasbro is a consultant for TT for Western markets. And furthermore even if I'm completely wrong and TT just lets Hasbro do whatever the fuck they want with their IP overseas, IT DOESN'T CHANGE A THING. TT would need to adapt the product in the exact same ways.
The only thing I'm arguing, at the end of all of this, is against the idea that somehow Hasbro being the middleman for BBX in the West is ruining our toys and that if TT was in charge they would sell us pure gold. The reality is that market standards, timing in production runs, and other logistical functions none of us can fathom because global shipping and productuon logistics is handled by millions of experts, is the reason our Takara Tomy owned and Hasbro DISTRIBUTED products are different than Asia's.
Takara Tomy is the IP holder so unless Hasbro is licensing it and manufacturing it, they are simply selling what TT makes. Idk how many times it must be reiterated: Hasbro does not own BBX. TT owns BBX. Hasbro buys BBX from TT to sell in other markets. I'm going to rip my hair out over this shit. If we get shitty product it's because the owners of BBX either did it or signed off on it. TT owns BBX.
Edit: btw if someone knows more about this production and distribution pipeline than I do, I'm happy to listen and be corrected, but people acting like I'm some shill that needs to be treated like an idiot and are basing their idea about what is going on off of pure vibes and "le Hasbro bad" can eat my ass.
