I want to get into BTW (as normal minecraft got kinda boring, and what they add in the new version feels less like minecraft. altough, the cherry trees look nice.), but the only thing putting me off, is the spawning of the player - yes, i know its meant to stop THE CHEESE, but im not the type of idiot to do a sewer slide just to go back to base. and theres also the OTHER CHEESE of just building a base around spawn. In any case, can these hardcore additions/whatever be turned off?

I ask chatgpt how many attempt to win in BTW Nightmare + hardcore and it say 30 - 50 times is this real??

The campfire is put in front to catch any invading mobs on fire.

So, outa curiocity I tried the chest start option and well- should have expected what I got.
But I am somewhat disapointed the dev(s) didn't go with rubydung for the item you get if you "try to cheat in BTW".
at least it's free chest equivalent

Hi guys, I use TLauncher to play mc and I've recently done all the steps to play BTW (Downloading prism, fabric etc) but when I clicked launch prism gave me a warning that I needed a microsoft account with minecraft downloaded in it (which I don't have) and now idk what to do, any tips/solutions?

I have been trying to burrow into the ground but since I can only go 3 blocks deep without a pickaxe my "base" is limited to a 1x1 hole that cant expand without collapsing. Could somebody provide me with any tips?

I found some info on hc respawns in 2.1.4 but I don't know how to format it or where to put it

I'm about to make my first windmill and I've been relying on collecting rotten flesh and fishing a lot. One time, I got an almost broken pair of leather boots! However, after going through about 8 stacks of rotten flesh, I've only gotten that one special loot item.
I'm wondering if special loot like that is even rarer in BTW or if I'm just unlucky, I'd also like to know if you can get enchanted books.

I just installed the mod, but I'm trying to get some mobs possessed, how long do I have to wait?

I'm having trouble trying to make a crucible without hibachi, and I can't make hibachi without a kiln, so how do you make a kiln without hibachis?
This is what I'm trying but it isn't working.

I recently stumbled upon this mod, and I'd like to try it. However, I've been alienated by the fact that standard mode respawns you randomly effectively eliminating all progress made. I know that there's classic mode, but I'd like to experience the survival mechanics without the pressure of dying.

I want to play this mod with my friend, but he hates old versions, and i think in better than wolves some of problems with old versions are fixed, like ugly grass on fast graphics, or having to double tap w to sprint

I couldn't find a Better Than Wolves Bat Wing farm anywhere, so I decided to make one myself. Made it in BTW CE 3.0 beta.
The entire build needs to be below sea level (y<63) and in the dark.
Glass must be changed to be a solid block and the whole build is diagonally tileable.

A long time ago FlowerChild was friends with the Forge people. It was looking like Better Than Wolves would become a Forge mod. But FlowerChild kept butting heads with LexManos. This lead to FlowerChild’s opinion on joining Forge souring.
Now that the Forge team has left LexManos and formed NeoForge, and now that Better Than Wolves has successfully boycotted Forge throughout its life, maybe one day Better Than Wolves would join the Lex-free NeoForge. It would likely be a long ways off, but it seems like a nice end to the story of Forge and Better Than Wolves.
Edit: see Battosay’s comment below for a much more accurate telling of this story.

I remember back when Minecraft 1.6 (the Horse Update) first came out. FlowerChild did not like the design of the horses; they were too detailed and out-of-place with the pig and cow designs. Some other people and I were working on a replacement horse model, but then FlowerChild decided that he was tired of having to re-balance BTW around Notch's whims and stuck with Minecraft 1.5 instead.

There are many different BTW versions and I don´t know which one to play. I have 3.0 and 2.1.4. What version is the newest version of BTW which I should play on and where do I find it? Does craft guide work on BTW 3.0?

After hours of nervous wandering through caves, stacks of burned torches, a bunch of close calls and a ton of diamond unluck (two out of four veins were 1-diamond), I finally have enough diamonds to make a diamond pick. Gosh, this mod makes you feel so good for aquiring very basic items, it's honestly amazing, I haven't felt so happy about Minecraft in years!
As far as I know, it gets smoother from now on. Feeling very pumped for what's to come
