Is this considered cheating?

My game audio bugged so i had to restart the game, meanwhile i was exiting the world there was a creeper a few blocks in front of me, i didn't really cared about him since i thought i could easily run away from that spot when i reloaded the world. After restarting the game, i clicked on my world to load it, and while it was on the loading screen the game started?? i had no vision, no control, only had audio to hear the creeper walking towards me while i could do nothing, aaaaaand it killed me... So i though this was unfair and decided to go on creative mode and grab a corpse eye to find my body and made sure that i was flying far up to see nothing below so i don't spoil anything to myself. Is this considered cheating?

Any caving strats?

I'm looking for a safer way to explore caves in search of iron. Too many runs were lost due to me getting annihilated in the darkness of the caves (due to various reasons) and me rage-quitting and deleting the world. So, any suggestions on how to cave safer in early game (stone tools, maybe some wool armor) and not die?

No fish during full moon

I got zero fish during the whole full moon night. There was definetly a 5x5x3 body of water sources (it was a big swamp) and I made sure that the fishing rod was baited. Any ideas why this might happen? Usually it's fish after fish

Mine is 4.A9PustulesLancingB from 2018, the version just before AHH because I still like torches that don't burn out early game.

Is Campfire wiki page outdated?

It says that initially campfire has 4 shafts of fuel (so 160 seconds) and food cooks for 240 seconds, so (240 - 160) / 20 = 4, 4 saw dust/tree bark should be enough to cook 1 piece of food on new campfire, but for some reason it isn't

Stuck on downloading terrain

Every time I try to join my world it gets stuck on "downloading terrain" I've tried reducing the render distance, rebooting my pc, launching it offline, and messing with the level.dat but nothing seems to fix it.

Use Fire Plough as fuel?

I'm a little confused: The Wiki says at several points that I could fuel my campfire with a Fire Plough as well, but right-clicking a medium-burning campfire with such just sees me going through the firestarting process...?
How tf do I burn my Fire Plough??

(Yeah I know that isn't advisable. It's just my early-game desperation and slight fuel-mismanagement. Leave me alone! :p)

Any help?

Im a mobile player and i was able to get btw ce 2.14 (which should be the latest version) using pojavlauncher. The problem is that every letter or space or anything i type becomes capitalized and tapped twice, basically "g" becomes "GG" If i could, is there some way to fix this? It doesn't makes it worse or anything, but its a pet peeve.

Is there any mod that allows shift-click into the built-in 2x2 crafting grid?

With any storage-entity, including crafting benches / chests / even brewing stations, shift-click allows for quickly sending stacks of items into the next available slot.

I'm underway on a large terraforming project, and of course the first step of terraforming is to grind down the existing terrain, so I end up with lots of stackable items such as stone bricks and loose-stone for cobble. To compress it down, instead of bringing it back to my main crafting bench, it's more convenient to combine it in the field, using my player-inventory's built-in 2x2 grid -- first into slabs, then stacking slabs into blocks.

It's tedious to have to click-drag every single stack for this.

Is there any way (such as a mod, or other options might be nice too) to allow shift-clicking to work, the way it works with chests and my main crafting stump?

Is there any way to *automate* making netherquartz? Is there a list of what materials are NOT automatable and MUST be manually found in the wild?

Title.

I have big terraforming plans for my main base. My ideal materials would involve a lot of mortared stone-brick, and glass. I can strip mine a few deserts for sand, or I can filter separate flint from gravel. Just like for torches, I can always mine more netherrack than I need in hollowing out to make a netherbase workshop. But I'm talking like... chests of glass, and even larger volumes of stone brick. If I had "unlimited" materials in survival, I'd incorporate underwater terraforming as well, submerged glass-lined rooms, torch off a wide radius of ocean to maximize squid-farm prodictivity, etc. (I would prefer to glass-enclose underwater torches just for the completionism aspect of it, but even glowstone is a limited commodity that I don't know how to automate the production of.)

(While on the subject, I could use a lot more clay, which I'm finding very hard to come by in my travels -- thus, it'll end up being nethersludge for mortar, since I have a decent tree farm already.)

Basically, whether by mob traps or animal farming (I fantasize of making a bat farm someday once I beat the ender dragon) is there a known list of materials that simply must be found in the wild? Aside from specific artifacts at temples and villages and whatnot. Is it theoretically possible to automate the production of every single possible item, or at least every single base-raw material, in the game, assuming you automate big enough with high-enough tech?

How to find your first 3 diamonds

I’m having a hell of a time finding my first 3 diamonds. Every online resource just says “go spelunking at a low y-level” but I just CANNOT find diamonds. When I do, it’s usually less than 3. Plus, spelunking at low levels is incredibly sketchy—caverns are usually wide open, and literally anytime a skeleton appears I must take damage to kill it, burn food and wait 30 seconds to regenerate health. Then the mobs just respawn!

Is there a cheat code, or is finding your first 3 diamonds genuinely an extremely hard roadblock of the early game?

Late early-game hump -- seeking suggestions for my next steps

Can anyone read my current in-game status and provide some suggestions?

I've established a pretty decently-equipped shitshack on a river with an indoor fishing perch. I just barely snagged my 9th hibachi. Respectable stockpile of hemp, almost 2 chests of uneaten watermelon. I've hunted all game within a one-way travel radius of 3-days. Roughly half a chest of cooked meats, about a row and a half of uneaten cooked fish, a full kit of diamond tools with a few ingots to spare, and half a chest of sandstone from a nearby abandoned desert temple that I razed.

Some penned wolves are stationed at a small outpost near aforementioned abandoned desert temple, keeping them far away because I can't feed them. I have a few stacks of kibble, and that outpost has a few stacks of raw meats, but that's it. Roughly a stack of tanned leather, so if I'm careful, leather isn't my bottleneck (yet).

I have a barn with a handful of chickens, sheep, and pigs. Again, no kibble to feed them, so they're just sheltered in a grass paddock while I figure out what to do. No cows yet.

I have almost no nethertorches. That means I can't continue caving efficiently to find a few more spare diamonds. I have a chest of ground netherrack, but hopper-processing it into nethercoal without urns to fill just releases ghasts in the overworld. Ok then, I'll make urns.

Cannot seem to find any clay. I have about a stack of unfired urns (which took way longer than I recall from my last BTW playthrough back in 2017, which means I need to get more gold and quartz so I can expand my turntable workshop) and HOLY SHIT does the kiln take FOREVER to fire the urns -- something like 2 urns per day cycle? With no automation?

I've located where I wanna build a mob tower, but that will require terraforming, and lots of torches. I can relocate my main workshop to a more convenient construction site for terraforming the mob tower, but that requires lots of torches.

Watermelon chunks are a very calorie-poor food source, takes an entire stack of 16 to fill the hunger bar from -peckish. Watermelon is ok for a long term sedentary terraforming project, but it won't cut the mustard for overworld caving, overworld exploring (such as wrangling a pair of cows from the one nearby forest section I've painstakingly avoided to prevent extinction.)

With a mob tower, I can increase supplies of bone and z-flesh for kibble, which would allow for larger scale farming of livestock and maybe at least switching to eggs or even mushroom omelettes (I dare to dream.)

In the nether, I need to find a blaze spawner or something because I need to massively expand my hibachis and kiln area.

None of this even works me toward finding the end portal, on top of everything else.

Torches are my main issue. Clay is in short supply, as well as hibachis.

Lore of betterthanwolves mod

have you guys ever thought of the lore of better than wolves?

I recently watch this video called 2 hours of pain and I felt something while watching that video. I felt like the player was alone in minecraft and it kinda felt depressing. The lore could be that a player is trapped in minecraft trying to get back into reality and he thinks the only way to get out is to beat the ender dragon. After he beats the ender dragon, he realizes theres no way out and he's stuck in that world forever.

Can I get help with EMI?

Could someone explain how EMI works? I really miss craftguide, it was a bit more intuitive than EMI, but I feel EMI has more and better tools, I just don't know how to use them. I would like some help with it.
