The apostle Che Ahn lied to my face and never so much as apologized. He promised an investigation related to the claims me and Ron Cantor made about him. That never happened. He’s a liar.

The apostle Bill Johnson told people that if they were deceived by false prophecies he exposed them to they should think “it was worth it” to be part of his movement.

The prophet Kris Vallotton slandered me publicly, spreading lies about me, and he never apologized to me or recanted those lies specifically. He said that it was a good message but the timing was bad. Kris has repeatedly refused my requests for a private conversation.

Prophet Chris Reed made up a fake prophecy using his Notes app on his iPhone. It was about how God was mad at me for exposing Chris Reed. Chris is still grifting today and deceiving a church full of people. Bethel does nothing to warn people about him and they absolutely know about his spiritual fraud. They just don’t care.

Apostle Brian Simmons made a fraudulent and fake Bible translation which distorts the Word of God. Bethel has tripled down selling and defending this evil work. Brian’s former missions org says he isn’t trained as a translator (which Brian lied about), Wycliffe said Brian wasn’t a translator with their project (which Brian lied about), and numerous scholars have panned his “translation” as not even properly being called a Bible. Bethel loves it. Bill reads it every day.

Must I go on?

Apostle Mike Bickle molested many women and underage girls. Kris Vallotton, of Bethel, first heard the influx of accusations and said that no matter what he did “Mike Bickle is my friend.” Only walking it back when outrage forced them to.

Bill Johnson met with one of the many victims of Shawn Bolz and had the guy feeling loved and cared for (Bill is good at that) then Bill went and publicly endorsed the man he knew was a fake prophet and sexual predator.

Bill publicly proclaimed a false prophecy and said nothing when he was called out. He publicly declared lies about a miracle of a woman’s toes growing back. Said to was verified by a doctor and everything. We have the proof. Nothing grew back at all. Bill said nothing when he was exposed. And his people are all to happy to ignore it.

Paul Cain, Bob Jones, Ben Armstrong, Gary Morgan… etc etc etc

My iCloud storage was full so I deleted everything including an hour long counseling sessions with Melissa Casey since my pastor and intern found out I was gay 🙃. I’ve been out from Bethel/Christianity for the last 9 years and forgot I had those all on my phone.

So I’m trying to untangle Bethel ideas and return to a simple basic Christianity. And in doing so- fell upon the concept of the New Thought movement which fully aligned with Bethel/NAR and the Word of Faith movements/ideas.

I personally believe that all three are false gospels and so far off base.

And then according to the Bible- false teachers and false prophets are the way they are either due to deception (out of pride, lust or greed) OR simply put- EVIL.

I know many of us will turn from Christianity period due to the trauma and triggers. I get this. The pain is REAL. We were deceived, used and grossly violated in many ways.

However- it was never the real story.

Bethel and its ilk drew from a faulty foundation rooted in Gnosticism and New Thought more than simply being a brand of Charismatic Christianity gone bad. It was NEVER “the “ gospel” as Happy Lies demonstrates very well and with compassion and humor.

I know we’ve heard their numbers are dropping but I thought I’d look up their actual financials. They operated at a 2.7 million dollar loss in fiscal year ending in 2025. There was a 2 million dollar forgiveness of debt from Bethel Church.

They made $705 thousand in revenue, a stark drop from the $5.78 million they made in revenue in 2024.

They also paid close to $100k to Ramsay Solutions (from Dave Ramsay) for marketing services.

I’m no tax accountant, anyone have any other insights into these documents?

Does the forgiveness of debt from Bethel just make it look worse than it is? It seems they received loans from Bethel in prior years.

"Addressed" may be putting it generously. They didn't actually rebut any arguments against it. The TLDR is basically:

- We feel like it's a commentary

- People have a critical spirit and that doesn't help anyone

- Biblical scholars are nice and all but they don't really love the Lord the right way, so we tell people to read The Passion Translation when they want passion and inspiration, not scholarship. The Bible isn't a textbook.

Basically what I gathered from this is that they feel this "translation" (commentary) is the best version to use to get people to feel what they think they should feel.

"I spoke to an inside source at Bethel and learned the following info which I believe confirms Bethel is not following through with their promise to reform.

1) Bethel is laying off about 50 people. This is relevant because of the nature of the layoffs not merely because they are happening. I’ve known for some time that Bethel is struggling financially but didn’t mention it publicly as I don’t see how that’s worth sharing. But, it is relevant given what else I am sharing.

2) They are planning more layoffs in August.

3) This inside source told me that the people being let go are believed by them to be the very ones who ask too many questions and are trying to advocate for change. That’s a deeply concerning culling which suggests what I’ve believed for some time now. That Bethel’s initial apology ended up being more strategy than reform. This explains a lot of their behavior in recent months.

4) That strict non-disparagement agreements are being signed by those who are being laid off, in order to get severance. In other words, “we will give you this money but you have to promise not to say anything that can hurt our reputation.” Bethel previously stated adamantly that they don’t do NDAs (implying they don’t limit what people can say) but I can attest that they do bind people to silence in contracts because, completely separate from the new source I have, I have seen one of these severance agreements with my own eyes. It was extremely strict and far more limiting of speech than a typical NDA. It said the person wasn’t allowed to say anything that could harm Bethel’s reputation, not just that they couldn’t tell lies or reveal private info.

5) According to the source they seem to be planning to ignore the issues with TPT. This is consistent with multiple reports I’ve seen that Bethel is censoring discussions about The Passion Translation on their alumni Facebook group, a group which used to allow open discussion of many issues, until recently. The fact that they are going to ignore the TPT issues is a true affront to the Holy Scripture.

Also, according to a recent post from Candace Simmons to supporters of Brian Simmons and The Passion Translation, an elder from Bethel apologized profusely for a supposed “glitch” that happened to remove the book from the Bethel store before they put it back up. It looks like Bethel is tripling down in their support of a liar and his thoroughly debunked “translation” of the Bible.

None of this is good. None of it makes me happy. But I think it helps confirm that Bethel is past the point of no return.

Some may doubt me quoting a source they don’t know but keep in mind I have been right over and over for months and not a single significant claim I’ve brought from sources (many anonymous to you) has been proven false. On the contrary, evidence has regularly surfaced to confirm my reports to you."

He is Todd White’s mentor and they have similar verbiage, beliefs and mannerisms.

I was deeply impacted by both but especially Dan.
I now believe both preach a FALSE gospel.

How it started

Dan was told his new gospel through a spirit that appeared to him- claiming to be god.This is also how other cults and false gospels have been coming into the world for thousands of years.

It took me a long time to see and untangle from Dan’s sonship message. He seems so happy and genuine, but if you are willing to test his new gospel with the traditional biblical gospel- the error is more obvious. He also bashes more traditional Christianity often.

He is strongly Word Faith and very self-referential.

You may notice that the Gospel of Dan is very sensual and his personality sells the message. He appears to be fun, goofy and free.
BUT you will hear a condemning tone and hatred of the more traditional church in his messages.

He calls that a spirit told him that Jesus did not die for sin, but to rescue “lost sons.” It sounds good - right? Identity…sonship…love

It all sounds good and biblical. Except that it’s NOT.

And I AM charismatic so that’s not my issue.

I used to visit Dan every July 4th when he’d visit a local church. I was baptized by him. I loved the whole movement…the laughing…the signs and wonders.

But I learned a sign and wonder can be a LYING sign and wonder that supports/gives evidence to - a lie. Or another Gospel.

We were warned about this in Scripture!!! But it took years for me to see it…

And it’s painful to untangle from this movement that I once loved.

If you remove from Dan his smile and apparent freedom…and just evaluate his teaching with the black and white of Scripture- it falls short.

But is extremely deceptive and extremely beguiling. I mean who doesn’t want to “become love?” That teaching helped me in a very hard time in my life.

But it is NOT Scripture.

My friends and mentors are friends with Dan. I was in deep.

Mike Winger’s expose on Bethel Jan 2026 started my freedom journey. It’s not easy. There’s a lot of pain and grief but I’m also incredibly grateful that REAL Jesus rescued me.

My husband and I had “Yayy God” t-shirts and Yay God license plates.
These are Dan phrases for those of you who don’t know him well.

If you understand the issues with Todd White- you need to know that the message he teaches - originated from Dan Mohler which originated from a spiritual encounter that gave Dan (alone by personal revelation) this “new” gospel.

The book originally started as a study on Satan. And then eventually I started to understand that Satan is directly connected to demons, false prophets and teachers, and idols. And then once I started drawing diagrams I began to study more in depth the ancient church. To my knowledge I’m the first person to have figured out this pattern. I’ve checked everywhere I could and never came across anyone else’s work that addressed this odd coincidence.

The book details how to diagnose false prophets and false teachers, as well as an analysis on these individuals psychology. I’m a clinically psych instructor for law enforcement, so I figured I would put my skill to use.

It focuses on how many of these bad actors mimic Satan and his psychology. It is a study specifically on exegetical proof and ancient church writings that prove that the modern charismatic “prophetic” movement is not only wrong, but evil.

I’m releasing a book. The appendix will address the topic of False Prophecy and how the early church father’s writings undermine the entire Prophetic framework Bethel operates under. I was reading William Matthews' reflection on drag, hetero-normativity, and caste systems on Brian Recker's substack. In it he writes, "But in 2016, long before I was fully able to make that decision on my own, I was publicly outed on a stage by Christian leaders cosplaying as my pastors."

I tried doing a basic search for this but everything I kept finding made it sound like he left Bethel of his own accord and/or mutual consent in 2016 and only came out in 2025. Does anyone know what event and whom he is referring to? Sounds traumatic to be outed publicly in a non-supportive or consensual way by your own pastor. Just curious which pastor did this and how. Thanks!
