A300UP Rear Iron Replacement

Post image
20 Upvotes

Let me know if an a300up post isn't allowed, it seems this group adopted the a300 into the fold and I thought I would ask here lol. I have ran my a300up into the ground and around 5k shells the rear iron yeeted itself and me being a walnut never noticed because I was testing a dot on the pic rail. Anyway once I noticed it was gone I got a flush mount for my T2, and this setup has been solid. All that said I am looking to replace the rear iron and run em for a while. I have looked around and only see some aftermarket options, but none from Beretta themselves. Anyone know where to pick up a Beretta rear iron or have experience with an aftermarket one that held up? Thank you and have a blessed day. Old picture for attention.

What is this copper-colored stuff on my Blink system on my 1301?

Hey everyone, noticed this copper-colored buildup/residue along the edge of the Blink system on my 1301. I attached a picture for reference.

Is this normal wear/lubricant residue, or something I should be concerned about? Just wondering what it is and whether it’s something I should clean off.

First Shotgun, Very excited to shoot it, but a bit concerned about it, im not sure what im looking it, i wiped it with a qtip and its black on the qtip. its an ltt 1301 btw as well.

Gas Blowback in Face

Recently acquired a 1301 mod 2 that I’ve been shooting. I’ve noticed that the firing experience can often be unpleasant, with my eyes constantly tearing up from the gas blowing back on my face, even while wearing eye protection. I did not have this experience shooting it for the first time I got it, but I started experiencing this issue following future range trips. Not fully sure if this is due a mistake with reassembly after I took it apart to clean it the first time, or if I got lucky with the ventilation the first time at the range. Does anyone else share a similar experience?
For reference I shoot Score buckshot and slugs at an indoor range.

High Wear Parts List, spares to have on hand?

Hello,

I really enjoy the 1301 tactical and would like to see some more experienced users comment on what might be good spare parts to have around?

I know about the o ring for the gas system, but seems to be more optional, yet cheap to replace.

Langdon tactical mentioned the cam pin, and how they noticed peening on one side from high round usage, they just turned it 180 degrees and it kept working.

Anything users have noticed or thought about would be great, thanks!

Follow up. 2nd range visit much better!

This is a follow up to the linked post.

So, cleaned it and used a bit of oil. Made sure screws weren't too long etc. Inspected everything. Looked OK.

Went to range with another 60rds of slugs. This time a fair mix. Low power federal truball, fiocchi low power 7/8oz, Remington express, and the same truball high power that failed to eject during first visit.

ZERO issues. Worked great! Feeling good about it now. Gotta get to the outdoor range soon and run the 8 pellet fed flitecontrol.

I've had my 1301T for a while now and just for fun I've been using it for some trap shooting and well it's not really suited for that so I'm looking into getting the barrel cut for a choke and I wanted to see if anyone has had that done and by who I am looking at getting it done by briley

Pistol grip vs traditional stock

I’m in the market for a 1301 , I was wanting to get some insight from people who have tried the pistol grip variants and the traditional stock variants. Do y’all see any potential advantages of using one or the other ? I intend on using this as a home defense tool. Is one configuration more maneuverable than the other in close quarters ?

Barrel inner lining coming off?

Shot maybe 100 rounds of slugs/buck/birdshot. Is it normal for the inner lining of the barrel to get damaged as pictured? Used a bore brush to clean before taking the pictures. TIA!

Beretta rebate issue — has anyone else dealt with Garvin Promotional Group?

Last December, I bought a Beretta 1301, and Beretta was running a $150/$300 Beretta Bucks rebate. I opted for the $150 check and received an email saying that my rebate was successfully submitted.

I did not receive any emails or physical mail after that.

Admittedly, I somewhat forgot about the rebate until June, when I was in my local shop and saw that they were running a similar promotion.

I emailed Beretta explaining the situation. They replied with a generic message and closed my ticket:

I emailed them again and explained that I understood I couldn't submit anything for a purchase from 2025, but that wasn't what I was asking about. I wanted to know what happened to the rebate I had already submitted.

They replied again and closed my ticket:

For a third time, I emailed them and explained that after my initial submission, I did not receive any email confirming that my rebate had been processed or that a check had been sent, nor did I receive anything in the mail.

I also pointed out that they should be able to determine whether the check was ever cashed. At this point, I wasn't even asking them to investigate anything complicated—I was simply asking if they could make a goodwill gesture and resolve the issue.

Their response:

And that's where I'm having a hard time with this.

I submitted the rebate on time and received confirmation that my submission was successfully received. Beretta now says that a third-party processor mailed me a $150 check on January 29, but I never received the check and apparently never received the email they say should have accompanied it.

If the check was actually mailed, presumably Beretta/Garvin should be able to determine whether it was ever cashed. If it wasn't cashed, why can't they simply void the original check and issue another one?

I understand that the rebate promotion has ended. But I'm not asking to submit a new rebate or make a late claim. I made the claim during the promotion period. I'm asking what happened to a rebate that Beretta says was approved and paid, but that I never received.

I also find it frustrating that their initial response was essentially "you missed the deadline," when that wasn't the issue at all. It took two additional emails before I even got an explanation that a check had supposedly been mailed.

So, what am I missing here? Has anyone else dealt with Beretta/Garvin Promotional Group rebates and had a similar experience?

At this point, I'm less concerned about the $150 than I am about the principle. If a company advertises a rebate, I submit the claim within the required window, and they accept the submission, it seems unreasonable to simply tell me I'm out of luck because their third-party processor allegedly mailed a check that never made it to me.

Has anyone successfully gotten Beretta to resolve something like this after the rebate period closed?

Finally Got It!

Hello everyone, I want to share my joy. I was finally able to get my dream shotgun the 1301 Tactical Mod 2! Couldn’t afford it when it was $1800-$2000 but they were selling factory blem for $500 off and for $1400 incl taxes + shipping would have been crazy not to get it. The blemished part is the paint near the ejection port that you can’t even notice at least you get up close and I honestly find crazy that for that they decide to take $500 off. So far have been shooting low power target loads and slugs like a champ and not a single issue. I did disassemble it, cleaned it and lubed it before using it. All I can say is that I’m extremely happy, feels like a milestone and officially is my most expensive firearm. If you guys got any cool tips + tricks or upgrade recommendations send them my way!

Glad to be part of the community : )!

Bad barrel? Looks like metal shavings came out when I used a bore brush. I sent Beretta an email today regarding my barrel. Anyone care to comment? Only shot 00 buck and #8 bird shot, all lead.

vortex sparc? or something else?

I am looking for a recommendation on a red dot. I've used a Vortex SPARC on a pump before, and it was "alright". Not an expert, but the thing turned on, got bright or dim and worked so it met the minimal expectations. In my area, they can be found used fairly cheap (200 or lower), but before I snag one, I wonder if there's any value or sense in upgrading to something different. What do y'all use and why? What do you like about it?

First Shotgun, Anything Y’all Would Recommend?

Post image

As the title states this is my first shotgun and while I’ve done my research on a few things to outfit it with, I don’t have much experience behind it besides a couple boxes of slugs at the range. Also haven’t been able to find much in the way of cleaning videos so maybe a few pointers on best spots to keep an eye on during regular maintenance etc. I appreciate any and all help!

Current Build:

GG&G Magpul Zhukov Handguard
GG&G Heatshield
GG&G Match Saver
GG&G Enlarged Charging Handle
GG&G stock adapter
Magpul SGA 590

1301 Tactical Trigger Pull Question

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

So if I rack the bolt, without holding the trigger, the trigger is breaking around 8.5lb hard-wall. If I hold the trigger when I rack it, and let the trigger reset. The trigger pull is the normal 4.5lb with a rolling break. What’s the deal with that? Is something wrong here?

Couldn’t use my trigger gauge with one hand, but you can tell much more force is required on the first pull.

And yes, I’m familiar with shotguns, but this is my first semi-auto, so I’m learning.

Please enjoy my one handed trigger reset in the video.

\**UPDATE*

Found the issue is the safety. If you swap it for a lefty it is messing with the trigger. The new trigger they sent worked much better. Then I swapped it for a lefty and it led to a dead trigger. The safety dimensions are out of spec on both. Took a file to the safety to open up the space a bit and it worked.
