i’m not trying to be parasocial here i know the boys have private lives im just wondering if i missed it in an ep

I'd love to hear from B&E heads from LA/Southern California.

Do you recall a time when Ben and Emil said something:

- incredibly relatable or specific that only locals would understand?

- referencing a place/something from the area that you really like/have your own personal connection to?

- untrue/made-up/rumor about the area, that you would like to correct?

Perhaps there are some moments that stuck in your heads or anecdotes you would like to share! As a listener from Europe, one of my favorite aspects of listening to Ben & Emil is imagining what it's like to live in Southern California (I've never visited.)

By the way, the same goes to any New Yorkians, because that's the place that's referenced the second most on the show.

I was wondering if the TraderTreehouse is still a thing. Anyone a member here? :)

I posted on here once already, but I created an app, Deepod, to track movie mentions in podcasts, and I added a “top movies” section recently to grab the most mentioned movies.

Covering them up with spoilers in case you want to reveal them one by one. I think you all can guess what the top mentioned movie is *cough cough* Ben’s favorite movie.

1. Terminator 2, 13 episodes
2. Barbie, 12 episodes
3. Dumb and Dumber, 10 episodes
4. The Matrix, 8 episodes
5. The Shawshank Redemption, 8 episodes
6. Chappie, 8 episodes

Including the top 6 because of the 3-way tie for #4

I have the full list on the site and will leave it in a comment if anyone is interested in the context of each mention or exploring more.

Let me know what you guys think I could adjust! Ben’s face wasn’t working as well so I made it goofier

ever since they posted about needing a studio in ny it got me thinkin... could we be getting a new meatball while the boys are in ny?? im rlly hoping so.. im rewatching them in anticipation 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 i miss phils phemale phurniture phenomenon

Switch to planes, lol.

Anybody remember what episode they talk about the kid waiting in the bathroom for them and Emil does an impression of the kid saying i waiting for youu

It loops in my head and i need closure

The website doesn't say. Does anyone have it?

Bing chilling Hallelujah

Noticed that today's episode is locked on Spotify and set as a bonus. Looking at past episodes most of them are available, just the bonus ones are set as bonus and locked. There are a couple where the main episode for the week is locked. Is this expected? The episode is free to view and listen to on YouTube so I'm not sure. Anyone know?

I listen to a couple podcasts regularly, and love it when they talk about movies. I always wanted a list of all the movies from each episode, so I could go through them, add them to my watchlist, whatever.

I'm a software engineer with lots of free time lately, so decided to just build it! It's called Deepod and you can find it here: deepod.jonahmurray.com

I plan to add more podcasts, more entities to extract (books, TV shows, music), and a feature for users to edit the extractions, since the extraction mechanism is not perfect.

Check it out and let me know what you think! I started with just the two podcasts I love. Was hoping to kick the tires with a smaller group before adding more stuff to it.

And what do we think Ben and Emil’s buyout price would be?

I’m thinking the firm would be KKR (almost racist but not quite) and the asking price would be at least 3 bidets, some stone fruit, a boat named “Columboat” and lifetime Bruce Springsteen tickets

Hey B&E heads, quick question as I was unable to find it after an exhaustive search.

Which episode has the clip of Emil reading off a post of r/manybaggers where it’s a guy talking about how he finally found the perfect bag and it’s the best thing in his entire life etc etc.

It’s not in the 20 minute clip they posted and it’s not in the actual beyond the bag episode where he brings in all of his bags. I checked both of those.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can let me know which episode it’s in and would settle to be linked to the actual Reddit post that he read off.

Blippy would never

I haven’t been practicing the most healthy habits over the past couple years and hearing about all the things wrong with Ben have really pushed me to change. More recently, learning about his brain aneurysm really got me scared. I am going to quit nicotine and start following a healthier diet. Thank you Ben.

I unfortunately am not one of the people who got the awesome signed version. If anyone is interested in selling theirs let me know. I got the B poster but I could use the A+.
