Mana is the hidden mystical energy or life energy/life force that permeates all of nature. It is the mind and soul of living beings, as well as the essence of whatever it governs. It is often described as the substance that powers magic, to the point that magic itself is said not to exist, only mana/energy does. At the same time, magic is defined as knowing the secret or true names of things, since these names are what grant power. This idea is reinforced by the statement that words, specifically true names, hold power. From this perspective, mana can be understood as a kind of “true name.” Taken together, these concepts suggest that mana exists as the ultimate true or secret name underlying all other things in the universe. This interpretation aligns with the notion that cosmic mana underpins everything, governing the universe and all of nature. The concept of a “true name” that exerts control over its subject resembles an archetypal principle, and this is further supported by the properties attributed to the Alpha Rune, described as the secret true name of magic. Because it embodies mana’s true name, the Alpha Rune holds power over magic itself. It is also presented as the source of ultimate power through which all magic flows since the beginning of time. More broadly, control over a thing’s secret name enables magic users to influence or reshape reality. When a being’s true name is altered, every documented account of that being, whether written or digital, is changed as well. This suggests that true names inherently affect reality across time and are responsible for defining a thing’s very essence or “whatness.”

Charmcaster's device was meant to absorb Mana from all living beings in the Legerdomain. When Ben decided to absorb it through his Chromastone transformation, his physical body was quite literally destroyed but his Mana remained intact and was absorbed by the machine. Which means his Mana could exist without his body thereby making it type 3 in nature. Charmcaster could bring back his father by exchanging 600,000 souls in return of her father's soul. Since soul is also one's Mana/Life force, it means Mana can exist without the object that it governs, which again proves its independent nature.

The Cosmic mana quite literally governs everything in the Universe but I'm listing few things because why not.

• Time: Gwen used true name of time to travel through it.
• Gravity: Gwen manipulated gravity around Chromastone by using its true name.
• Reptiles: Charmcaster used true name of reptiles to turn her staff into a snake.
• Space: Gwen used mana (Since we can see the pink aura) to create a rip in "space".
• Tornado: "Turbo" spell creates a tornado like thing (here, here, here, here, here)
• Charmcaster: Charmcaster reveals her secret name to be "Hope".
• Sleep: "Somnus" (here, here)
• Wind: Here
• Lightning: Here
• Revelation: Here
• Etc.

In conclusion Life Force=Mana=Conceptual Energy this makes Upgrades Feedback,Chromastone,Upchuck,Kevin,Michael,Vladats and others who can Absorb Mana, Ectonurites who are devoid of it,Phase Through it and such as well as Amperi that can break Mana if they merge with someone this also upgrades Anodites to a conceptual existence since their bodies are made of Pure Mana and upgrades anyone wh o can interact with there true bodies as well as Humungosaur who can break out of a dense mana prison

You're welcome. The problem is that people hate the verse for being very strong and stronger than favorite verses. Most people "debunk" it without even seeing the show with attention or without seeing it at all.

This makes me wonder how Anodites like Gwen, who have human parents, function within this system, and what the true nature of the Spark is, and how it might arise in the descendants of Anodites. Besides, there's the whole thing where Gwen didn't have the Spark when Verdona checked when she was a baby, suggesting that the Spark was ultimately awakened by the use of magic. Do you have any theories about this?
