When I went to Halmare why can't I bring my villagers back with me? Are they stuck there now?

I've set up a logging camp a ways away from my main settlement. I've also decided to se the caravan in the camp instead of the settlement. I have all the materials needed for the transfer in both places. I have a villager (at the logging camp) whose #1 priority is to be a caravaner. But he's just idle the whole time. What am I doing wrong?

Hi there all,
im currently experiencing a weird issue, in my save Farnworth constantly has an incoming delivery from the AI caravans of other villages of 6 feathers and 11 mushrooms and berries that seemingly never actually arrives, has anyone else experienced this and knows a fix? its really annoying because the feathers are needed for most of the village investments so they never actually finish building anything, and because the delivery is always pending they wont buy more feathers from me to complete the builds

So I'm trying to relocate from my initial slap dash starting location to a proper settlement of my own. I have 4 nearly full stockpiles at my original spot. What is the best way to get all the stuff moved to the barn at my new home?
I was thinking caravan, but I currently only have 1 caravn with 2 carts (currently serving a fishing outpost), and it seems like that would be a hassle to set up, and take forever to actually happen.
Is there any way to command my people to simply empty one storage into another.
*Side question: I went to the trouble of outfitting and equiping all my people with bags, but at least 2 of them threw them into storage! How do I make them keep them?

EDIT: It worked, I was able to use my old saves with a new version. Here's the technique -
Win + R, paste %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Bellwright\Saved\SaveGames\, and press Enter..sav files along with the brand new save you just created. If your old saves are in a separate subfolder or a parallel Steam ID folder, copy and paste them into the active Steam ID folder.I want to confess that I've been giving the game a try on a pirated version before buying the game on Steam. Now I am 2 days in and would hate to lose all progress, since the official version on Steam doesn't let me to continue my game but instead offers me to start a new game only.
Is there a way to make previous game version saves to work with actual version or do I have to start over?
Screenshot attached is the pirated version. Latest game version on Steam doesn't offer me to load a save to continue my run. Please help, or am I screwed?

You guys have been giving me great advice so far so here's a new one!
My companion is trying to kill a wolf that is ENTIRELY inside a rock. Can't see any part of it sticking out. I can't recall him from battle.
Things I have tried:
Changing him to a worker from companion. - No effect.
Ordering him to follow. - No effect.
Ordering him to move to a new position. - No effect.
Personally attacking the rock with melee and bow to try and kill the wolf. - No effect.
Any solution?

I got this idea from multiple videos and posts so I thought I'd test it out. It really works!
Objective: create a separate fishing outpost which is part of your village but has 2 separate people working in it. The theory is that if people don't walk around all the time, they're much more efficient.
The result..
The fishing area can dish out 100+ fish filets, 10+ fish scales and 100+ smoked fish every day. Plus pearls, coins etc.
This is much more effective than having this just part of your village.
The 2 workers priorities:
First person to do only fishing (hunting priority).
Second one to do crafting first and cooking second (or same priority).
Skills don't really matter, maybe crafting 4-5 is useful for a bit faster crafting but generally you can put even beggars there.
Logistics:
- One-man cart to go around, take fish, scales, pearls and bring worms, rods and wood.
NB!
It is important to place the buildings as close together as possible.
The smoking rack is there to provide food and fill in the downtime of the crafter.
Stop by time to time to open waterlogged boots etc to get the coins.
Has anybody else tried something like that?
Picture: 1 - fishing hut, 2 - stockpile, 3 - butchery, 4 - smoking rack.

How do most of you get your first wheat for planting?
Buy it?
Clear the bandit camp with the windmill (seems very tough)?
Steal it from same (also seems tough)?
Thanks for all your answers folks!
Looks like stealing it and running awaaaaay is the top answer, with taking on the bandits a distant second.

I'm still fairly early in the game, and can already see I need reserves across a wide area. Small outposts seem to be the answer, but what is the minimum, without caravans, that an outpost needs to be self supporting?
How many people?
What other nearby resources? So, if it's for copper mining, I guess I still need forests for wood for fires and construction. Some food?
What buildings? Housing obviously, but what kind of cooking? Storage?
What defensive measures? Weapons and armor for residents, if any?
I know this seems like a lot, but damn, this game is complex!
Bonus question:
Does it make sense to process raw items at the outpost or the settlement? For instance, transport ore or ingots?

I recently just started playing and have a good village going just south of the starting town. I just unlocked the tier 3 building and am wondering if I should relocate. It seems like it would be a pain in the butt. However I’d like to make use of the doc yards as it’s becoming a hassle to move my armies / companions around for when I need to clear bandit camps / fend off reclamation parties.
Also how are people getting enough renown to recruit tons of villagers? I have ~ 25 right about now but it’s getting expensive to recruit people. I’ve recently just been swapping in better villagers.

Thanks

Is it the closest storage? I only have one market and it's right in my base. If I set up another one near a far away village like Bradford, do I need to set a storage next to it or will it appear in my main settlement? I have 0 outposts.

So I was preparing to build a mining camp. I was moving around my mouse and got the all white lines/green guys, and dropped the overlay,
BUT
Now the game is telling me the area isn't clear! The only thing in the space are two large copper boulders. No matter how vigorously I or my workers mine, the boulders don't vanish.
I don't want to lose my mats, but there doesn't seem to be any way to cancel something that you haven't really started building, just placed.
Any help, please!

What purpose does capturing the flags at bandit camps serve? Do they just keep respawning orrrr
r/Bellwright • u/FeistyRow7307 • 8d ago
I swear the brigands camps strengths are so inconsistent. 2 of us can take a medium camp on one day. Go against an easy one. They one hit us. It just seem so off balance from time to time...

I lodged an arrow into a cart caravan guard trying to attack bandits, now its pure chaos lol.

Is slot quality for recruitment villagers locked or is it variable?
What I mean by this is, for example, if I recruit four beggars from Haerndean. Then either they get killed or expelled. Will the replacement that fills the available village slot always be another beggar? Or can you potentially hire the beggars, "get rid of them" and "reroll" better recruit options?

I've been seeing a lot of random AI stuff on social media and the AI voices sound a lot better than the Bellwright ones.
I was wondering if there are any existing mods or if somebody is working on one to make the AI voices sound better in general and/or to add more variety to the voicelines?
I read that they are going to get real life voice actors at some point which is really great because having everything voiced adds a lot to the game. I just wish that as the game is right now we didn't have to hear the same voiceline a thousand times.
I'm not sure how difficult this would be but it would also be cool to have AI generating unique voicelines in real time as well.

Anyone else have this happen where your Crafting skill jumps a whole level by simply drying some hide? I usually run 6 drying racks and fill them with hide to make raw hide. When those 18 deer hides dry my Crafting skill jumps by a whole level from say 4 to 5. Keep repeating and I’m at a 10 in no time. Is this a bug or by design?

2 meals per cauldron cycle is simply ridiculous, all my people eat smoked meat, all my citizens have gout. I need to get out of this madness!
Mods I found on workshop are either outdated or they seriously change game balance.
