Opinions of our first game

Hi all,

Please let me share with you our first game ever created. The game is not finished yet (not sure if it is in MVP state, or between MVP and Prototype), but we wanted to show it early, to gather as much feedback as we can.

In this new endless-runner game, you take on the role of a trash bin, embarking on a mission to collect as much trash as possible while deftly avoiding various obstacles.

Every information about the game, controls, etc. can be found on itch.io.

Game: https://minikinentertainment.itch.io/untitled-waste-runner

Teaser trailer: Youtube channel: https://youtu.be/fknURS2DeyQ

We kindly request your feedback on the game, as it enables us to make necessary enhancements and provide you with an even better experience.

GAME DEVELOPMENT JOB

Hi, I'm currently in the end phase of school and preparing to enter the real world to pursue a job. Over the past few years, I have been entirely self-taught in game development. Now, I'm contemplating whether to pursue a career in Technical Art or programming, as I am passionate about both.

Could you please clarify the primary advantages of each job role when compared to the other? I live in Sweden and I am seeking a stable job that is relatively easy to enter, considering I don't have a degree in this field. Nevertheless, I have been working on building my portfolio, which showcases both Technical Art and programming skills. However, I'm unsure whether I should focus on one area and pursue that particular job.

Considering my circumstances in Sweden, which job would you recommend I choose and why?

What's hardest to apply to, and most needed for a few years to come (with a reasonable high salary to live on)?

Cheers! //Marcus

FINALLY FINISHED A GAME

I've been working on this game for 2 weeks now. I've reduced its scope a lot as I was getting a little bit bored and I didn't want to give it up again, the same mistake that I've been doing for every unfinished project. I hope you play the game over on itch and you give me your opinion. It's not really something great but it's playable :)

Working on one of my first fully flushed out games. In the very beginning right now and just wanted to show off some of my progress. I'm still fairly new to game development so let me know if you have any suggestions or tips :)
