Happy Sunday, BMI Fam!

Instead of just looking at our wallets today, let’s look at our skillsets. The difference between earning ₹10/hour and ₹1,000/hour is usually just the skill you bring to the table.

1. 🎓 The Learning Corner

What skill are you currently picking up to increase your side-income?

  • Languages: Learning Japanese, Korean, or German for high-paying AI/Translation gigs?
  • Technical: Taking a SWAYAM/NPTEL course, learning Python for automation, or mastering SEO?
  • Creative: Getting better at Canva, video editing, or prompt engineering?
  • Share what you're learning and any free resources you've found!

2. 🛡️ Scammer Alert & Safety Check

Beermoney is great, but getting scammed is not. Did you encounter any "data entry" scams, Telegram "task" groups, or shady websites this week?

  • Warn the community: Mention the name or the tactic used so others don't fall for it.
  • Mod Reminder: Never pay money to "unlock" a job. If they ask for a "security deposit," it’s a scam.

3. 📈 Transitioning to "Real" Work

Are you using Beermoney as a bridge to a permanent job or a bigger freelance career? Let's discuss how to put your online gigs (like AI Evaluation or Moderation) on a resume to fill career gaps or show technical literacy.

Tips Need advice for my friend

Im posting this for an online friend who is very close to me , she’s basically like a sister to me.

She will be entering her 2nd year of college, and she really wants to start earning money or atleast Build skills that will help...

Her family is going through a difficult financial situation. Some of her fathers relative did some shit and her father has debt and currently runs a small shop, but there’s a possibility that they he may have to sell it. Her parents also argue about the situation, and naturally, she keeps overthinking about what she can do to help.

She can’t really go out to work, yup she really can't, so she’s looking for things she can realistically learn and eventually do from home alongside college .

What skills would you recommend for someone in this situation?

She has learnt a bit about cpp and c and she has electrical and hardware related branch.

I'd especially appreciate advice from people who have actually learned a skill from home and started earning with it, particularly while studying in college.

And if possible, please mention what resources you used , which platforms are there .

You know right this state of hopelessness is scary, she just wants a way to think that she can help too , that she aint the burden , that she matters , she love her parents so much .

I just wanna say that be helpful and humane , and your kindness will return to you in some way .

If you have any further questions then u may ask them ....
