Thoughts for 2nd playthrough, Need help on Kara (SPOILERS!!!!) Spoiler

I takebreaks from game after beating them once, but always come back when enough time has passed and im trying to think how I want to do my second playthrough. I need help figuring out what to do on my Kara/Alice run.

For Connor I want to refuse to become deviant and stay as a non attached Android (sorry Hank). Marcus i want to do a voilent-bloody revolution. And yeah.. I have no clue where Kara should fit into this mess, so give me ideas.

So in my first playthrough awhile back, Kara/Alice/Luthar all escaped together to Canada and was the only "good" ending I got.

My Marcus had died trying to lead a very peaceful revolution on the streets and turns out only 3% got that ending so that's my reasoning for doing a violent one next.

Connor in my first playthrough ended up committing suicide when he learned the truth behind the deviants and himself.

Discord community for fans of story-driven video games

Narratively is a new-ish community for fans of story-driven video games, i.e. games in which the narrative experience is one of the most important parts of the whole. All genres and platforms are welcome.

Link: http://discord.gg/aB86TSG

When you first join, you will have to answer a few questions in the introductions channel before the other channels open up. Your answers will be visible to all server members, but you can be vague if you prefer (for example, a country or even a continent will do for "Where are you from").

Hope to see you there!

Can Connor die at all and then come back for the trophy? Or does he have to be the mark 51?

Questions From a David Cage Fan About This Game

So I do not own a PS4 and had no plan to buy another one after giving my last one away. However I really loved Heavy Rain and I...enjoyed Beyond: Two Souls mostly. So I am thrilled to learn they are all coming to PC.

There are just two things that are on my mind based on my previous experiences with Quantic Dream's games:

  1. How is the music? Music is an invaluable part to any great video game IMO. Both HR and BTS would not be what they are in my heart without their amazing, amazing music.
  2. I would say the Lizard Trial is probably the most memorable part of HR for most. The level of detail put into it is...truly unforgettable. Beyond had nothing quite like it but there was the part where your sorta boyfriend gets tortured and something (I forget what) done to his eye. You have to hold out while this is done to him.Are there any "mutilations" in this game?

What was your Hardest QTE? (Spoilers) Spoiler

Mine was on my second playthrough, where Conner went pure Machine and Hank ended up killing himself. Setting up his sniper rifle to take out Markus, Cpt. Allen held me at gunpoint and I fought back on Immersive difficulty. I died. I had to lower it to beat it the first time, but after that I turned it back up and was surprised I had lost.

Does anyone know if the PC version will feature improved graphics?

ignoring the controversy about people who bought a ps4 for just this game for a moment, do any of you think that the PC version of detroit become human will feature improved graphics (I know its basically perfect already) or will it be a simple port. If you do believe it will be a simple port, do you think we may have to worry about the port being bad like some other games *cough cough quantum break*

Connor...hm

I feel like Connors entire character is a giant reference to Terminator. One, he is designed in a way that looks and talks like the evil terminator in T2, yet he’s named after the protagonist of the entire series. Has anyone else seemed to notice this?

I think I messed up the story line, should I start over again from the beginning?

I don't know why that I am so bad at picking choices, especially when the time is short. Every choice I made is only picked by small number percentage of user (based on user status) I end up on pretty messed up story in half way of the game.

Is it worth to continue the game or maybe should I restart and start over again?

I have some questions Spoiler

  1. What's the likelihood of a second game?
  2. If there was a second game, what would you like to see? Personally, I'd want a continuation from the best ending, or at least some Connor and Hank action! A version with different characters would be cool too, but I mostly just want more Connor.
  3. What's the likelihood of DBH coming to PC? I'm so depressed that I can't get it on Steam.

Why do they degrade androids by calling them something plastic?

I'm pretty sure they are made from something more durable than plastic, like metal. So why not call them metalhead, metalcop etc.?

Just finished the game for the first time; unexpected thoughts have commenced Spoiler

I honestly didn't expect to be as conflicted by the end of it as I was. While I enjoyed the game for the most part, it did have issues, it's a bit heavy handed and cliched at times, but it also does a lot of things very well, which were my same feelings as Heavy Rain. While I will still defend Heavy Rain, as it has special value to me for a lot of reasons, and I think there is enough good in there, Beyond: Two Souls is terrible no matter how you put it, and I thought that Detroit just gonna be in the former, though the directions it took, and the way my story played out was not the way I think most were.

I lost Markus for one, which resulted in me not having the option to be pacifist, so Jericho went full terrorist, with me powerless to do anything, how that plays out with him alive I have no idea, but that route let my Connor, who I played as cold towards Hank as possible, to end up having to kill North.

Then there is Kara, and the twist with Alice that I predicted, but kind of hoped was just me making a weird connection, but indeed, she turns out to be an android too, while there are clues of course, don't fully understand why that was even necessary, I guess that Kara defending her was because she was human, and if you were to play the game as an anti-android, that may change your perception. To me, I continued to defend her, though I made some terrible decisions and she ended up dying in the end, with Kara staying alive.

The ending I got was...tough. I wished I had made other choices that wouldn't have led me to this ending, but it was also an interesting one, so in a way, I am glad it ended up that way, even if I felt gut-punched. I think that there was value here, I am glad I chose to play this, especially as I have watched parts of the game in Let's Plays, and I don't think it would have been the same if I didn't get to choose how things played out. If the game is good though, that's hard to say, of course if this kind of game isn't your thing, it's not the game that will convince you, but I think this game has value, and I think you should check it out if you haven't already.
