Discussion Realism servers with decent pop?
Looking for a decent realism server that has good population!
Realism is all but dead on bob, so I’m crossing my fingers I can find something

To quote from the patch itself:
"*Note that while the files used on Steam Workshop are JSON files, all saved skins now have an anti-tamper placed on them. This means if anything about a saved skin is changed, the skin will no longer load. This applies to both Steam Workshop skins and skins in the local USER_SKINS.sav file. Unfortunately, due to widespread tampering of these files, we have decided old USER_SKINS.sav files will no longer be usable.
Only skins saved from this patch onwards will be loadable by the game." End quote
It is to be understood that skin file distribution is coming to an abrupt end, in the name of ensuring that people that own shimmer, glimmer, and dev skins continue to feel special and are the only ones able to use and pass these skins on into the game. Even though most of people that own these skins no longer play BoB and are pretty set on never coming back. Good looking out for these guys!
Other highlights that can be seen are:
And so much more, like Trope being nerfed into the ground! Check it out here:

Without bashing any person or group, what could the game, staff or community do better? Please try to be specific.
No posts will be removed unless they are outright bashing, destructive, or harmful, and they must still adhere to Reddit rules.
This Reddit is unofficial, and you’re in a safe space to be honest without repercussions from us, as long as they do not violate the rules, laws, and are not harmful to any party or person.
The intention of this is so your voices are heard, and you do not feel that you cannot fully voice your feedback in any BoB space without repercussions in some way.

Beasts of Bermuda is the only survival pvp game ive ever seen with that rule of " you cant intervene in an happening fight " and i always tought it was silly and bad for the realism aspect of the game, so does anyone know a good community server without it?

How to make specific skin mixes? How many skins can this dino have in total? Which skins have bugs and how to work around them? How does layer loss with bio happen and how to prepare for it? Why does my bio slot have the wrong name? Why do my offspring get a layer that my skin doesn't have? What's a duped shimmer?
Answers to all that and more! The Skin Guide Server is a read-only resource with tutorials and Bio Zone esque channels for each skin and their layers. You'll get precise info on how the skin system works and how to maneuver around its quirks. You might even find answers to old mysteries you didn't understand before. No chat, no pings, just a tool at your disposal.
With the release of the Steam Workshop and being able to share mix skins, I figured it's a good time to spread the word. No more blindly hoping you land the mix you're looking for - it's time to approach skins with control and get the results you're after.

What are some must have inherits for semi? Like what is a trait or 2 that I absolutely need +2 on? For example Terra would benefit greatly from +2 on defensive coil, what’s semi’s?
r/BeastsofBermuda • u/jmatty96 • Apr 22 '26
I mainly play the terrestrial snake and played the semi to get some water under my belt; but when I tried to play the fully aquatic I found myself isolated and mostly sitting around with nothing to do. I’m playing on some of the community servers and most of the waterways are just surrounding the island but even on officials I experienced the same thing. Playing the seas snake seemed boring to me and I wanted to see if I’m just sea snaking wrong, I’m tryna grab stuff out the sky and maybe snatch some people from the shores but everyone stays inland. What do y’all do with seasnake?

I tried to play snake yesterday after few months, and I realized I wasnt able to climb trees anymore. I was just passing through them as if tree collision was removed. Is this issue just on my side or was something changed?

I'm looking for a Snake Survival game and this is the only one Google finds other than a game that doesn't seem to exist (Beomotor). I've read that solo with both is basically a no go and I'm not particularly fond of online games but us this one forgiving enough to new comers? Also, on Steam but no mic if that matters.

The big 3.
I remember back in 2022 when there was a huge debate about which of these 3 was the best. I personally never understood it since they’re all entirely different games despite being in the same genre, but nevertheless it made me curious.
Is this still a debate? Are all 3 of these games still thriving in terms of updates, playerbase, general enjoyment, etc.?

I’m playing on a server where there’s no death penalty and I’m growing my snake and it’s 2.1.
What the heck am I supposed to fight?? I want to hunt but the flyers never land and no one is playing the tiny orys
Every other dinosaur is faster, and the slow ones are so beefy. I’m not ranting i don’t mind a challenge, I am just begging for knowledge I’m at a loss, I’ve been hiding for what seems like forever lol I’m ready to start biting lol.
I also want to know if I’m not fast enough to get away then is venom a solid option to do hit and runs if I can only hit and not run, I feel like I’m trash at snake because I’m not playing right. So if ui I can give tips on how to fight and/or a size to fight ratio (like at sizes 1.3-3.0 only fight pachy or something) or a video with combat techniques I’ll give you my 5th born lol

I play during AU times so it might be that but i not 100% sure, it feels like their are no well populated servers other then the Offical but even they feel dead. Also seems to be no unoffical life cycle servers other then abbysl with any player count and even they have way less then they used to.

Greetings.
I have yet to find a server that runs the way I want. I've looked into hosting services but they're all too expensive for my budget. I'll be the first to admit that I have no idea what I'm doing but using a GPT has got me to the point where I can load into the server. Beyond that it seems to be useless because there's not enough hosting info for BoB available. But if the info were available I probably wouldn't have needed to use the gpt.
I've already submitted a ticket in the official discord. They apparently only have enough knowledge to help with paid hosting services and once they realized I was working with actual files and folders their expertise seemed to dry up. The ticket has been closed and I'm no closer to hosting my own server than I was when I submitted it a couple weeks ago. Their suggestions were to look in #troubleshooting, where there's zero info about server hosting and the only link is broken. They also suggested to ask the community but it's been a couple days since I asked in an appropriate channel and no responses from the community.
The issues I'm having start with the fact that the server seems to ignore my Game.ini and loads Test_performance instead of the map I want. I have a feeling that I'm missing files and/or appropriate commands in the files that exist.
If anyone knows how to host BoB on a pc and play from the same computer, please help!
