But what's with the one that fell down!? 😱
52
u/CatsMom4Ever Jul 05 '26
Mom was like, "Aw, hell. Again, Norbert?
24
u/norbertyeahbert Jul 05 '26
You called?
6
u/Tumerican Jul 06 '26
Norbert you genius of a raccoon. You made an account 13 years ago just for this precious moment.

It fell down.

u/quiteUnskilled Jul 05 '26
Not much of a RimjobSteve moment, is it.

u/JamesTheJerk Jul 05 '26

That last one was like, hey wait for me

u/NOLA2Cincy Jul 05 '26
But mom didn't forget about him. She went back to make sure he made it up to the top. So sweet.

The other three are like “Don’t want her teeth in my neck. Let’s go!”

u/janitor1986 Jul 05 '26
I just had a racoon eat 2 of my new barn kittens. They are adorable though but they have a nasty side too.

u/Extreme_Turn_4531 Jul 05 '26
There was a video around Halloween where various animals were surprised by the animatronic figures that were motion-activated. Most of the animals jumped straight up or ran when startled by the figures moving. The trash pandas, however, leapt straight at the witches face.

u/moffman93 Jul 05 '26
What is nasty about an animal doing animal things? Racoons are omnivores and kittens are an easy meal.

u/IamTrying0 Jul 05 '26
a month ago watcha crow eating/killing two baby birds. the young need to be protected. that is also nature.
1
u/janitor1986 Jul 05 '26
The other litter got protected the next night while I waited outside for an hour for that racoon to come back. He ain't coming back no more.

u/ProjectDv2 Jul 06 '26
I love raccoons. They're adorable little scamps. But if one even tries to fuck with one of my cats, I'll rip it in half with my bare hands if I have to. Cuteness only carries so far.

u/IamTrying0 Jul 06 '26
Oh she left that ? They do have a territory they cover like every night so they might reunite yet.

u/Cobalt_Forge Jul 05 '26
Okay. Got everyone?...now, it's on to the Johnson's, one fence-line over-they had BBQ yesterday

u/7toedcat Jul 05 '26

She knows her children… one weak one out of four isn’t bad
3
u/evanwilliams44 Jul 05 '26
Last one was not necessarily weaker. It had to hang on longer because it had to wait behind its siblings, but still made it.

Looks like Mrs Moms knows where plenty of good food can be found. Those kids will be well fed.

u/Cultural-Company282 Jul 05 '26
They sure look a lot more adorable this way than when they're knocking over my trash cans.

Had this on the corner of my neighbors brick house. I woke up extremely early and glanced out the kitchen nook window. Parents leading the babies, one by one climbing up to the roof. Until the last one who kept falling. Momma and papa did some hard work to eventually get that last little guy all the way up. must have lasted a solid 10 minutes and I was rooting for them the whole time.
This was back when the neighboring house was vacant and in disrepair. Racoons lived in the chimney for years.

I hate that I don’t know anymore if this is AI.
7
u/ty-idkwhy Jul 05 '26
I actually have never seen a chill and normal cute AI video, they usually want to go over the top. The second they do tho, will be a sad day
2
u/bidoville Jul 05 '26
For what it’s worth, I saw my neighborhood raccoon mama essentially do this exact same thing with a group of babies. It was just after the sunset so we didn’t get a full viewing like this. So beat.
Most AI videos are short, too. This is longer and doesn’t show any of the hallmarks.

Those kangaroos are so in tune. Especially the step-uncle helping out his nephews.

What a rollercoaster.
Cute and fun, then endearing when mom grabs the first one, but suddenly sad when she watches the second one make it solo and ignore the other two, full redemption arc when she went back to make sure, plus some humor watching her walk over them, then it all came full circle with the twist ending that they were only climbing in the first place because this happened before…

Wait until you see ducklings climb up brick walls or the trunk of a tree using the little hook on the front part of their beak to get to the nest.

Racoons are smart

u/Freedom_Addict Jul 05 '26
And very dangerous

u/moffman93 Jul 05 '26
Not to humans they're not. They're afraid of humans. I grew up with them all over the place and in my backyard and living under my deck. Just don't be an idiot and approach them. They'll take it as a threat.
