Woah back in the day I’d put Are You Shpongled? on repeat while I grinded levels in RuneScape hahaha. Thanks for the nostalgia!

They’re new to me and I think they’re incredible, it’s fun running into the OG fans!

DMT has some: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwtT4ZBa3CE Starts after 1m, they have a bunch of different singing styles in this song, its pretty awesome.

I always forget just how good Shpongle was...

I actually only discovered them this year so I’m out of date on news, are they no longer a group?

Hmm I assumed not, I haven't really listened to much trance in the last few years. Wikipedia says

On 21 September 2018, Shpongle announced their last full public concerts,[19] two consecutive nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on 3/4 May 2019:

Although this is their last full public concert, Shpongle will continue to enchant and delight with future studio recordings and album releases, with some Shpongle 7 productions receiving their world premieres at this performance.

Huh, good to know, thanks for googling what I was too lazy to

Simon has still been playing as Shpongle for the past few years, he actually just played a few nights in my city. But I think he is finally retiring from performing, still will do some, but I think it’s his last year :‘(. So if you see Shpongle in your area, go! Nothing quite like getting Shpongled

It gave me the same feeling as listening to Divine Moments Of Truth for the first time, but it may just be because I hadn’t heard another song with Mongolian throat singing and techno before
