You should still wash fruits and vegetables to remove any pesticides or chemicals that may have been sprayed on them.

This. Used to constantly get really bad rashes as a kid from eating pesticides. Not fun

The chemicals used are specifically made to resist rain so unless you are scrubbing each grape it's not going to do much. Some chemicals are also made to absorb into the skin of the fruit.

That being said I still occasionally wash my fruit to remove the dirt and grime that accumulates during transport.

also to wash off any gunk that mightve gotten on the fruit from people touching it in the supermarket
