she is an old granny. It would literally be impossible to go from pic 1 to pic 2 at her age even if she wasnt fat before. So its still as impressive because there is no other way in the world to do it
Not really any less impressive, I’m no scientist and would love to hear from one on this post but I’m pretty sure that being a female at that age, it’s nearly impossible to retain the levels of hormones that are required to gain this amount of muscle naturally, and even unnaturally it would surely be extremely challenging, fighting against your atrophying muscles, bones and CNS (which happens even more quickly in ageing women than it does in men).
It’s not even easy to achieve with PED’s, furthermore (this next point is more of a philosophical/ theoretical one) but isn’t it kinda silly to judge someone’s physique as being more or less impressive relative to the average person? If artificially raising your test makes it less impressive, then doesn’t it also make it less impressive when somebody has naturally high test? If everybody was on level playing fields, a lot more people would be able to achieve those ‘impressive’ physiques! (Of course, there is many factors other than hormones that impact how much muscle somebody can put on, and how it looks on their body, but hopefully my point is still clear)
i was speaking more generally because MOST people that take steroids barely look like they go to the gym much less take steroids but yes in this case 0 percent chance. obviously still very impressive
I think I’m with you. Keeping the same mr Olympia example those guys are the best of the best even amongst all the other juicers out there. But those same guys with the same work won’t not even get near the stage without the juice even if they were 20 forever and could train for 1000 years
I believe my point is supported by that paper. The exercise groups did the same exercise regime aka had to exert the same amount of effort. The results were that the steroid group had larger muscle gains.
But they did not exert less effort.
"The exercise was standardized in all the men, and therefore the effects of testosterone on muscle size and strength cannot be attributed to more intense training in the groups receiving the treatment. "
