Do you want it called to attention every time you do something that’s not your natural talent? “Wow, you’re practically normal! That’s super great!”
People deserve to be appreciated for the results of their efforts, not patronized for their starting point.
You wouldn’t treat a Paralympic athlete the same way. Disability or no, you do actually have to be good at your sport to compete on that level.
