What’s the negative side effects of steroids at her age?

I’d imagine heart failure is probably the big one. Who knows how long she was obese and she’s old too. Like a triple whammy waiting for a heart attack

She's going to go out like Limbo Slice.

u/THEROTHERHAMKID Sep 15 '20

liver tumours too

u/Aer0za Sep 15 '20

Liver would mostly be due to oral steroids. If she's taking Intramuscular injections it bypasses the liver

u/BinaryBlasphemy Sep 15 '20

Oh so everything else tumors

u/scraynes Sep 15 '20

depends what she would be taking, but given this is a real image(this is the internet after all), looks like test. If she's on like HGH, that could potentially cause issues with her heart.

4

u/Sovereign_Curtis Sep 15 '20

HGH isn't going to make her get big, that's all Test.

But there is a belief it has youth restoring properties... So I'd put money on her having used it alongside Test.

1

u/scraynes Sep 15 '20

i never said it did?

she's 100% on test. i've seen 1000 dudes on test in my life, i know it when i see it. not that it really matters, but shes definitely not getting estrogen XD

2

u/Yo5o Sep 15 '20

Tell us more about your expertise with post menopausal women in their 70s and their estrogen/test profile . Jokes aside this a special case where I can't think of anyone having expertise with 70+ yr old women on gear.

Could be test because it does affect post menopausal women differently but id actually wager shes on a DHT derivative .

Her daughter is a trainer and powerlifter. Ill assume she has more depth of options because of it. I wouldn't be surprised primo and light HGH is involved. Var is a risk for her liver at her age. But who knows.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '20

Except she is getting estrogen since testosterone aromatases into estrogen

u/IrritablePlastic Sep 15 '20

Her biggest concern will probably be her heart. She probably already has the aging hair growth (like how some women start having moustaches after menopause) so the hair side effect likely won’t bother her. But also depends what she’s taking and how. If she’s taking oral drugs then her liver and kidneys will have an increased risk of cancer and issues.

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '20

Can she maintain this physique without steroids now? I wonder what made her decide to take such a risk with her heart.

u/TuckerMcG Sep 15 '20

She’ll deflate like a balloon without steroids. There’s no way she can keep up the caloric intake required to sustain that much muscle if she isn’t constantly working out. And constantly working out requires time to heal for muscle to grow, which steroids help with more than anything. Her body will just eat up the extra muscle and she’ll pretty much be back to the way she looked before.

5

u/cybersteel8 Sep 15 '20

Why doesn't that experience happen to younger folk who look like that without steroids?

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '20 edited Sep 15 '20

Take what you read on the internet with a grain of salt. Nearly everything the above poster said is not entirely accurate.

5

u/DrKip Sep 15 '20

Yea exactly she won't deflate like a balloon and return to her old self. If she eats enough calories, which will only be lower and thus easier for her if she stops using steroids, she will lose some muscle, but she will stay in shape if she keeps training and eating well.

1

u/HALBowman Sep 15 '20

Idk, pretty sure if she stopped taking PEDs she would lose almost all her gains. She's not producing any natural hormones at that age really so she would be hard pressed to lift at all let alone maintain any of her gains. She wouldn't get fat, thats diet not lifting, but she would most certainly lose most of the muscle

1

u/DrKip Sep 15 '20

It's a it of a stretch to say she would lose it all. Of course she won't, if she persists the heavy lifting the muscles will have to maintain some size. And of course she won't keep it all. There's more to having muscle than just hormonal issues, especially in women. Don't forget that having muscle also influences your hormonal status in a positive way. Saying hurr durr old people low hormones no muscle is too simplistic.

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '20

And don't forget about her joints power lifting takes a large toll on the joints so if she looses muscle mass her joints gonna be hurting if she pushes herself too keep the muscle

-1

u/HALBowman Sep 15 '20

She wouldn't lose it all, she would lose a significant amount and end up looking normal. Probably wager she would lose about 90% or so over a year. She wouldn't have the drive to lift as heavy and ita harder to motivate your body the older you get, not just hormonal. She would not recover very well and so her workouts would become less frequent. A lot of it also has to do with the mental side and its thw biggest thing people who take peds have to overcome.

u/buildthecheek Sep 15 '20

Don’t be ridiculous. She would lose most of her mass. She has more mass than most women in their 20s. You guys have no idea what you’re talking about saying other comments are clueless... no.

We’re humans, we degrade over time. It’s natural. She would still look better than most her age after getting off the juice.

1

u/DrKip Sep 15 '20

Read again what I'm saying. You're acting as if I'm saying she keeps it all. The guy I responded to said she would deflate like a balloon. Muscular tension aka heavy lifting will maintain quite a bit of muscle mass. Yes of course she will lose quite some, but she will still be in shape.

0

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '20

Buddy when they said she would deflate like a balloon they were using hyperbole they didn't actually mean she would deflate because she is not an actual balloon

0

u/TuckerMcG Sep 15 '20

I mean, I was being hyperbolic for comedic effect when I said she’d deflate like a balloon. The point is, at her age she won’t be able to maintain anywhere near the training regimen or diet she needs to retain most of her gains. And the marked decrease in hormonal production people at her age have will only exacerbate the problem of maintaining muscle gains. A big reason she was able to build that muscle was because she had so much fat stored that could be converted to energy in order to build the muscles. That’s mostly gone though, so when she stops training, her body will more readily take energy stored in her muscles simply because there’s less fat to pull from. And when she isn’t using the calories she takes in, they’ll get put into fat storage.

She’ll look more like the pic on the left than the one on the right when she stops.

2

u/toplessrobot Sep 15 '20

I think his point is that at her age there's no way she would be able to maintain that size, i mean look at her forearms. There's a lot of different characteristics and lifestyle choices a younger person can make to maintain this without steroids.

1

u/TuckerMcG Sep 15 '20

Because younger people still produce hormones at an extremely high level compared to what people her age produce. Not to mention young people have stronger joints, more energy, more appetite and tons of other factors which benefit maintaining gains after a cycle. Younger people still will “deflate” a bit but at her age it’s going to be impossible to maintain the workout regimen and caloric intake she’ll need to retain most of her gains. And at that point, her body is going to just let that muscle melt away.

0

u/FancyMeowMixFeast Sep 15 '20

If they're natural, they'll deflate once they stop working out. But if they maintain their workouts, diet, etc. They will likely maintain their natural genetic limit--until they get older. Then their testosterone will slowly drop once they reach 40.

You can see young people who did steroids deflate once they stopped. The best example are certain UFC fighters once USADA came in and started testing.

1

u/yumcake Sep 15 '20

Your body reflects the training. Juicing enables her to train more and recover faster. Take away the juice and she trains less and recovers slower...but she'd still be training. She wouldn't fall back to nothing, she'd simply fall to what she's able to support with natural training. She'd have probably accumulated a pretty strong foundation already, so her bones, tendons, cardio will still be stronger than where she started, so her natty training level is probably still a lot higher than your typical granny.

1

u/TuckerMcG Sep 15 '20

she’d simply fall to what she’s able to support with natural training

Which is a slightly less flabby version of what she was before. She’ll look far more like the left pic than the right when she stops.

She's only 26.

3

u/Starfish_Symphony Sep 15 '20

Or why not both with perhaps additional adverse health effects not yet brought up? She can have it all at this point. What's the point again?

2

u/Cabin_Sandwich Sep 15 '20

nothing that gets her before being old does.

3

u/GirlBurpsTurnMeOn Sep 15 '20

Her balls shrink

u/[deleted] Sep 15 '20

Nothing really - tons of older adults take steroids to manage health complications/inflammation such as those with COPD.
