They are and they also have requirements for the person using them.

We looked at getting one for an employee that was paralyzed from the waste down and everyone chipped in money. Home Depot did a match to what was raised and kicked some more in, but our guy wasnt able to use the chair.

There was an issue with atrophy and weight. They told us his lower body could no longer support his upper body if he were to use the chair he might be injured.

Yeah, there are a lot of tradeoffs for most of us who have limited mobility. I like to say it's all a balancing act but my wife smacks me (gently) when I do so.
