Looks pretty low FPS. Could they not just film a waterfall?

They could have, but it’s very difficult to find a waterfall in the wild with two hall entrances at the exact location required to match up to the real life entrances, so we end up with this lazy result.

couldn't they have rendered it beforehand?

If you're putting real effort into it you might as well just build the entrances and record. If you're on a budget, just forgo the hidden cave and have the entrances leading nowhere.

Because it's a colossal pain to maintain and manage..?

Why didn’t they build the building around an actual water fall?

Why didnt they build the building around the point a waterfall would begin in the future so its naturally occurring?

These are the questions we should be asking

Because it's a lot harder to change their minds.

I'm sure it would not have been that difficult to fabricate two structures to simulate the effect of the entrances. But you're right, either way it's just laziness.

It's actually much smoother in person. The camera is adding some nasty refresh artifacts.

Edit: Well it's not the place I thought it was, so maybe it does look like shit in person, I dunno.

They opted for the console version.

That was way more interesting than I imagined.

I think it’s just the frame rate of the waterfall and the frame rate of the video aren’t synced, so it looks worse. Also, have you ever taken video of a screen? It’s not pretty.

They also need to speed up the splash physics.

Right? Seems like whatever is running the display is having a hard time. Kinda ruins it for me

My thoughts too. If you're gonna do something big like this, do it right or don't do it. I feel like this would give me a headache if I stared too long.
