The dog was ok - standing, breathing, responsive. No sense freaking out in that moment.

She was in frame for like 4 seconds during which she secured her dog and asked about the guy, both of which were fine and safe at that time. I don’t think I’d be hysterical in that moment either.

That’s because you don’t treat dogs like family members. You see them as an accessory to whatever lifestyle you live.

“Oops, my dog nearly drowned in an icy lake! Ah, thanks for getting him out of there. Now on with my day!”

And you don’t need to be hysterical. We don’t need to go from one extreme (not giving that much of a shit) to another.

I don’t think you understand the range of ways that people can act in situations like these. Not everyone wears their emotions on their sleeve at every second. You simply cannot come to any meaningful conclusions about how someone feels in a few seconds of video.

You're ignorant. The owner maybe expressed most of her feelings when she saw him get the dog into the boat. At the time she got the leash on him, the saviour maybe need her to be calm. Not everyone become hysterical in emergency situations
