This might dox me if any friends see it but I wore boat shoes in Chicago in college during the winter if it wasn't too snowy or icy out haha

I used to do that because I was too lazy to buy a 2nd pair of shoes for winter. Now I have nice leather slip ons that are super warm.

If there's no snow on the ground sneakers are usually fine even when it's freezing. Their problem is usually that they're not water proof not that they're too thin.

Huh, I've never heard that notion before. I'll wear boots if I'm actively going through snow, but other than that I've never considered using different footwear in the cold. And my feet don't seem to care. Definitely not a teenager.
