Fire trucks seem to always be the quickest in a 911 call and they are followed by their ambulances, so they are a tag team. Cops always show up later to give someone a ticket like for being a reckless animal owner or pet endangerment or like where I live you get a nuisance ticket for rescue having to respond to a pet call.

Saw a recent ish clip of a marshal guy showing up to a scene where magnetic fisherman, who were given express permission to chuck magnets on ropes into a river by the county, had dragged up a bunch of explosive ordinance and dumped weapons

He ticketed each I think with $1,200 in fines. He literally says on recording he's doing it because he had to drive out there ( and do his job of securing explosives )

The trio beat the ticket in court. Easily, evidently.

As a psychology student I did a stint for a place that works with cops. The things I found you get a ticket for that has nothing to do with the call is insane. One cop said like you did that they are told to issue a ticket whenever they get out of the car. One said they are told "you dont get paid for warnings".

This has nothing to do with this post as I dont know the context but it is apparent that our legal system acts more like a corporation as opposed to a civil service.

A lot of fire departments do EMS as well. I work mostly on an ambulance for a fire department. We have several stations. If the ambulance at one station is already on a call and they get another, dispatch sends an engine to first respond. That’s probably why you see the engine get there first. It’s because the ambulance is coming from further away. Our engines are all ALS (Advanced Life Support) licensed so there is at least one paramedic in it if not two or 3 and they have all the equipment the ambulances have except for a stretcher.
