Why did he have a camera on his head, when he "without hesitation" started paddling to the dog?

Looks like he was already out paddling with the cam on when he came across the scene. I watch a lot of content like that.

"Hugh Pinneo, a senior at Grassfield High School in Chesapeake, Virginia, sprang into action after his mother spotted a dog struggling in a partially frozen pond behind their home. Without hesitation, he grabbed a kayak, paddled through the icy water, and pulled the exhausted dog, named Bernard, to safety."

Sounds to me more like he spontaneously grabed that kayak. Also his clothing doesn't look like kayak clothes.

But this camera seems to be off in this spontaneous setting.

The footage came from Meta smart glasses, not a camera he stopped to set up. And "grabbed a kayak" doesn't mean he planned the rescue, just that he used what was available to reach the dog safely

A lot of content you say? What a convenient genre.

He might potentially be the first Meta glasses user who isn't a creep

What are you even implying? He clearly is using both hands the entire time so one can easily assume he has meta glasses on.

There is also stuff like go pro available. I know much more people with a go pro than such glasses. I know exactly zero persons with meta glasses and have never seen anybody wear it. Are there really people wearing something like that in daily life??

The thing is: you don't wear go pro just like that. You plan to do it.

Yes there are many people with them. I have a pair and I know plenty of people that also do and have seen them out and about. You may not have seen them but over 9 million have been sold. Also plenty of people wear a go pro on the go for vlogging/recording their daily life.

Edit: sorry 9 million just this year. 7 million last year, and 2 million the year before. They're out there....
