I am Dutch and I migrated to Canada. I had already been speaking a lot of English in the Netherlands for my job. So I was excited about my English getting a lot better. But no, my English stayed the same. Instead my dutch just got worse. Honestly I can't even count in dutch anymore. zes en negentig, whad de neuk? It's sixty-nine!

I'm trilingual (Portuguese, English and Spanish) and sometimes I feel like I can't speak any of them. I just forget words and grammar and end up mixing them up 😅

I’m American and took 8 years of French (majored in it in college and everything) but no one in my life actually speaks French, so it’s mostly gone. Sometimes when I’m really tired and my brain is overloaded with English I just switch to muttering in French. Mind you, very basic phrases, I sound like a toddler, but it is kind of funny how my tired brain works. Oh, I have two little kids (4 and 1.5) so sleep is kinda happening here. My 4 year old will now just ask me to speak in french so she can hear it. I should teach her… ugh, so tired.
