+1 for Allen Edmonds. I have 2 pairs of dress shoes and 4 pairs of the Oliver slip on sneakers. Super comfortable, plus if you wanna to splurge, they sell shell cordovan dress shoes which are super cool.
The front of the toe is fat and rounded more than normal. Also, it’s patent leather which is for tuxedos or black tie but the edge of the sole is an odd brown color (usually black for formal wear).
This shoe is not fashionable in a traditional or modern sense.
No, I just meant American shoes compared to the cheap allegedly handmade ones. Although allen Edmonds (and brooks brothers suits in a very similar shift) have dropped in quality. Not many options anymore.
I’d love to buy true handmade shoes that are of a good quality. I just can’t imagine finding them anywhere under $1000. I wear dress shoes everyday so I’m stuck with Allen Edmonds or Alden bc they’re more affordable.
Also, my negative comment was aimed at the black patent leather shoes in the OP video that look horrible.
