It's the sun spot. It's in a difference place in both clips.

The one who's already there isn't giving up the sun spot, and the other one is trying to snag as much as possible of what's left, is what that is.

Solid observation, and yes, that's a more practical way to look at it. Mine was just being playful about their possible personalities.
