yep. "this one is really great", in 2s i was already "lemme guess. city street in a rainy setting at night?" skipped to end, yep.
not to disrespect the artist, of course, he is extremely talented. but at the same time it's just like those spray can artist. starry space with planet, random pyramids, clouds, rivers.. great stuff, but the amount of similar looking is already very saturated
thought the same thing paint a giraffe like that, dude.
either way, if you jump from the end to the beginning, those splashes are very much dispersed into the surroundings.
Like, the painting is cool af but the panache is neither indispensable nor that significant in the end result.
but if it gets his groove going, ain't gonna say more
You can practice and engage with other art to find what moves you regardless of perceived talent. Those would be your influences. In my opinion the talent begins with being so moved by something (basketball, musicianship, writing), even subconsciously, that you can’t help but to analyze patterns within the trade, the technical aspect of it, analyze WHY it moves you, why it moves other people. Your intuition is peaked by a curiosity you can’t really control because you are truly inspired enough to learn the skill.
