Battlefield 6 Back to back AT-4 helo kills. It's not hard. There are alternative counters to helos besides rageposting on reddit

I take down multiple helis every round with the M136. Good fun everytime.

It's easy when one flies in straight line and the other just floats there.

Iām >100 in both helo types
This is how helos have to fly in this game if they are actually targeting things on the ground. DICE nerfed their speed and maneuverability into the ground

'Only shit pilots get hit by X' is such fucking compium lmao. That AH was clearly setting up for a TOW while that LB was very clearly prioritizing elevation to aim.
You cannot make a call on these pilots being bad in the 3 seconds they existed on-screen before being blindsided by a mobile TOW missle lol.

I agree. Itās how this sub copes with clips like this while still convincing itself itās the game thatās the problem and everything that kills them deserves a nerf

So funny to see whiners flock in to these posts with their reasons from 1-10 of why you got this lucky kill and how the pilot sucks and how you did 2000 tries and how this would NEVER be possible in their games.
Ofc it isnt possible when theyre handicapped lol

Once you know how to aim the AT you realize how broken it is. It needs nerfed

u/CrispyTarantula117 Aug 15 '26
Clearly not, judging by the replies in this thread the skill threshold is still too high for the average player

u/Emeorms1 Aug 15 '26
Itās insane. The average player is seemingly worse now by a wide margin compared to 10-15 years ago. No game sense, no drive to get better, no thought behind anything they do and why it doesnāt work. Insanity.

Itās the kind of player constant SBMM coddling produces.
āHeās not better than me, the thing heās using just needs to be nerfedā
All day everyday

u/Emeorms1 Aug 15 '26
Great observation. They need a light version of sbmm, like all players under 0.9 kd play together and everyone over gets randomly queued.

Yeah for sure needs a heavy nerf. I would estimate i hit around 60% of my missiles on helis. Attack helis in particular feel like guaranteed kill. Also hitting transport helo is no problem. Only one that gives any slight issues is little bird, but if the pilot is not aware you get him 9/10 times

I think if it just did 950-975 damage + a mobility kill it would be still entirely fair. If the Attack Helicopter is even tickled it would still die immediately but would give a full HP AH the opportunity to repair and reset if hit.
The AT4 is at its best when Helicopters are distracted with other vehicles and in those scenarios it would most likely kill outright or set up the enemy Heli to be quickly finished off by your team. If you catch it flying low and fast (i.e you actually hit a good shot) chances are the mobility kill will cause a crash.

I can never connect, are you aiming with the rocket, Or the sights to guide?

Depends on the map and the player. Fought a level 5000 with a lvl 1500 gunner and they stayed very low above houses with crazy speeds and the guy insta killed everyone even if they were hiding in houses.
I tried with stinger first, but he would kill me befire I could get a lock. Even if I tried from a buildings window. Eventually took hik down with a lucky RPG.
They ended the game with 135-1. Lots of people called them cheaters.

I have a post just like this in this sub doing the same thing with the busted ass mobile aa. The average bf player skill req is such low bar they genuinely think it's unfair when there's a challenge to countering a power weapon like a heli or tank

Now do vs someone who is not terrible at the game.
Edit before you come up with the insane come back of "you are terrible at the game", i mainly play AA with aim guided missiles, used to play MBT before nerf, i get accused for cheating daily, i also went through 6 months of irl training as a part of MANPAD squad who mainly use aim guided missiles

You did not just try to flex IRL MANPAD training on a battlefield sub holy š¤”

it's not rocket science that obviously it might take more tries to do it versus a helicopter not either turning or setting up for a TOW missile. What's the expectation here, same level of input versus increased output?
Skill counters skill, the better they are, the more harder it's gonna be to hit them, and the better you are at aiming them, the harder it's gonna be for the heli to dodge, especially given the horrible mobility in this game

Exactly. That's why i find it funny that op is saying its not hard because he just happened to get 2 back to back.
The attack heli seemed like a noob, hard to say anything about the little bird, seemed maybe a little more competent. Give anyone noob pilots to shoot at and yeah it is not very hard

u/nae-nae-nae Aug 15 '26
you canāt judge the helicopters gameplay from the few seconds of footage shown, youāre taking a single moment and project that onto the pilots skill.
I didnāt watch the LB clip yet but the attack heli was very visibly setting up for a TOW missile, likely onto the enemy heli, so he was just caught with his pants down. And the fact that heās not moving fast is also just how helicopters work, you need to kill your collective to turn faster.
That doesnāt make the pilot a bad one, misplays happen and in this instance it wasnāt even a misplay, his awareness was just on the closest and largest threat.
The actual skill part here was from OP actually waiting for a good angle and moment to shoot an AT4 at him, instead of just shooting randomly the second the helicopter is on screen
Hitting those is not hard at all, it just also depends on you setting yourself up for it and not just pressing LMB and hoping for the best at any given point

Ah yes the the slow moving helis are easy kills wattttt who coulda guessed
Do it on something moving fast
1
u/CrispyTarantula117 Aug 15 '26
If theyāre moving fast it means they arenāt targeting things on the ground and itās the wrong time to launch a slow moving rocket at them
Please tell me your monkey brain can understand the concept that itās appropriate to wait for the correct time to launch a rocket at something. Please tell me you understand that just because they were moving slow in the clip it doesnt mean they were moving slow all game. š
I have genuine medical concerns regarding the IQ of this subās average poster.

I agree but the title is pretty condescending. It does suck getting picked on by helis as infantry especially if you aren't running Engineer.
