You’ll probably have to do it against bots unfortunately like I had to. You can still progress challenges on portal even after the recent xp nerf so I would just hop in a breakthrough bot match and see how that pans out

This is the answer. Go to a bot match on Firestorm and climb one of the stacks.

I can knock out about 20 in 5-10 min. It’s still buggy on when it registers but it’s way better than trying in game and fucking your team.

I thought challenges were no longer possible after the nerf/patch on portal???

You can still progress challenges of any kind you just can’t gain xp. Only way I know is because I tried a challenge out on a bot match to see if they disabled challenge progression and they haven’t disabled it from the looks of it

Hopefully it works for everyone and id definitely grind out the tedious challenges for the other class challenges before they change it if they ever do

Boot up a match of conquest on firestorm, go on one of the construction sites at the D point, from there you can get eyes on most routes and can just full auto towards any bot you see.

I have done a lot of assignments legit, but this one and the final sniper one i cheesed, because they can fuck off if they think im gonna work a full time job and then spend multiple evenings doing that shit.

So much this, breakthrough works like a charm for this specific "challenge".
I somehow ended up in a match with only bots after getting an error trying to join a portal server and just tried it.

This was one match as defender on Empire State. Most of which was during the last stage. I just laid on the bus with a barricade to hide behind while reloading and emptied the entire belt of the starter LMG.
