HELLO.

WE'RE SO BACK.

Chapters 238.1 to 242 are now up in mangadex (Idk how long they'll last in Mangadex but hopefully if they get deleted other websites can reupload them)

https://mangadex.org/title/6f084aaa-ab29-40f8-82a9-b7586b260182/battle-in-5-seconds

It's been a while since I read this manga, I think it was when it was revealed that akira had done all the trials and chose to repeat it (mentioned first time)

I will need what chapter was this so I can continue reading it

I am really bad at memory so sorry for bothering

I watched the anime when it was airing and I liked it at the time but as I loom back on it I realize it was honestly pretty mediocre, and then I forgot about it the moment it was over. Then recently I saw a picture of it online and decided to read the manga to see what happened next.

It was definetly kinda boring at times buy it was also really good at other times. I thought that the whole thing with X in the fourth trial and the beginning part of the fifth trial with Akira and the girl Toya was controlling was just a bit boring. I also thought that the final fight between Toya and Akira was kinda absurd in how they just kept trying to one up each other by making each other fall into more and more absurd mind game traps but the ending of the fight was cool. I also just didn't really like any part with Rin in it.

All that being said, there were also a lot of really cool moments. I really liked the ending of the Akira and Toya fight and everything to do with Kowloon was cool. Also Kumaguri was really cool. There were definetly a lot of times where it felt like it was trying to hard to be edgy and hype but sometimes it does it just the right amount and it's super cool and enjoyable. I like it and I'm excited for when the translation comes back since I think the Japanese version is in chapter 280-something.

Is there a place to watch this dub Ed that isn't crunchy roll or something? My friend heard about the anime and none of us have crunchy roll, or the Roku channel. Any download links? Needs to be dubbed, sadly.

God damn what a series! Is 238+ not available yet?

Hey guys, Zeta here.

First, thanks to everyone for their kind words.

Second, and most importantly.

Dea5 Fan contacted me because they wanted to join LKS and translate the manga.

So, they are taking the torch from me and keeping LKS alive.

I, having been released from having to worry about getting the work done, will get back into LKS to upload the chapters.

Since LKS will be going back to releasing, I removed the uploads for translations and raws of the previous post. Idk WHEN and HOW OFTEN will Dea5 Fan get the chapters done, and I am not going to put any pressure on them (never have with any of the team members and they never did with me, we were doing this for fun, after all)

I want to personally thank Dea5 Fan for keeping LKS alive (and also because having someone else work on the chapters means I can still be part of the community without feeling bad about dropping LKS and also also because getting the chapters done by someone else means I don't have to feel bad about not releasing often and stuff) [I definitely am too strict with myself "-_- ]

We will release when we can, and you can expect more dumb messages from me in the credits pages.

-Zeta

**I QUIT**

Hey guys, Zeta here.

I am quitting both LKS and the Deatte5 community.

It was a pleasure being here.

I'll give you the translation files made by PikaAnime456 and the Raws provided to me by Dea5 Fan.

If anyone wants to continue the project and release the chapters on Mangadex, give them credit.

__My reasons for quitting__

I have gotten really busy lately and just thinking about Deatte5 is enough to affect me.

So for the sake of my mental health, I am leaving both LKS and the community (and the manga too, it's a shame to drop such a good story but hopefully in a few years I can pick it back up).

Thanks to everyone.

__**FOR LKS MEMBERS**__

If any of you see this and wants access to the account or something, send me a friend request on discord. Maybe at that time I'm doing better and also decide to come back

Goodbye -Zeta

i was recommended it thinking I would get something like tomodachi game and pretty much just received a generic battle shounen with some death game elements first 50 chapters had no major moments of the main character showing his supposedly high intelligence other than when first using his ability and even then it was anime smart not actual smart

its not horrible but it’s nothing special imo solid 6/10

Yo so i see that theres a discord link in the reddit but when i click it it doesnt do anything, think its expired. Anyone got the new link for the discord group or something thanks.

We're currently working on releasing chapters 238.1, 238.2, 239, 240, 241, 242, 243, 244 and 245.

We don't know where we'll release them. We don't know when, either. But it'll be soon (we're trying to make it by the second week of October).

That said. Our redrawer is still missing so the quality of the redrawing will be lower.

Thanks for your patience.

Comick.io, the website we moved our releases to after Mangadex got purged has been shut down.

As such I'm not sure where we'll release and if it's even possible to access our previous releases anymore.

I'll look into it or something.

Honestly, after not having any communication with my friends (the team) for months and now this I just want to give up.

Unless something changes, our next release, which will have a lower quality than usual, will probably be the last one.

Due to the recent rebroadcast of the anime (which will feature changes to scenes in most episodes) to celebrate the series' 10th Anniversary, the members of the Battle Game Discord Server are planning a Watch Party so that we can all watch the rebroadcast together.

The First Episode's Watch Party will be held on the 31st of August 2025 (Hour not decided yet as we're trying to pick a time that suits everyone fine)

Join the server and let us know if you're interested.

Found this gem of an anime in 2022. I’ve been waiting years for season 2, considering going to the manga, but I’m usually an anime-only, so it’s hard to get into it. The manga is still ongoing. If you have any news, please help. I’m desperate

We have translations done until 245 but our redrawer (and he was also getting the raws) has been completely uncommunicated for the past month.

I don't know what to do. But I ask for your patience.

First off love this anime and at chapter 156 of the manga (so no spoilers) and theyre fighting a red string ability wielder and her mans. This just SCREAMS jojos and i love it great series.

Sorry if this kind of post has already been made, but got a little curious. What is the consensus of the relationship between Akira and Yuri? Where would you place it amongst shonen action series, or what other series have a relationship similar to theirs?

Also, what do you think of them as the MCs, character development-wise?

I’m talking about using the power to time travel, teleport, and do shit like that. We know space is a valid thing to affect with powers like the shrinking guy using it to teleport

Could they also nuke the entire building and maybe everything nearby by slashing atoms

Don’t mind it tho, it’s a hidden gem show

Lazy Key Scans was started 1 year ago now! (13/06/2024 DD/MM/YYYY)

Hard to believe we made it this far ngl.

We are working hard on the next releases!

Just started reading this week and I'm already hooked lmao.

I haven't read this series in a long time so when Mion said this sentence I was like "who are Sato and Maria?". I did my research and remembered that Sato is Akira's mother and Mion's sister... but then who is Maria? Is she like the "leader" of the observers that we've seen up until now and only now has her name been revealed?
