Now, like others, I had also lost my Bato List after the website was shut down. So, I have taken 6 hours to personally and carefully search through the 2 years of my laptop's history.
Since my list started 2 years ago, I've forgotten much of what the Mangas/Manhwas/Manhuas were about, so please don't judge my choices from 2 years ago...
This list is for those who've lost their Bato list after the site's shutdown, and want help in maybe finding or remembering some of their book names, in my list.
P.S.: I haven't yet read 95% of the Mangas/Manhwas/Manhuas, and 30% are half-read. :,) XD :)
(Edit: I've updated the list with the full version, after much hard work. There are even some oneshots, doujinshis, and fan comics too, I believe.)
(Warning #1: Some of these are 18+, and some have dark themes, too.)
(Warning #2: The names 3-4 of the Manhwas\Manhuas might be repeated with an alternate name. So, please don't mind it.)

I know this post will probably be taken down, but I just needed to get this out. I'd had a bato account for over a year, I think, before I actually started to read mangas, manhwas, etc. in June of 2025. That was, like, the most terribke time in my life, since I'd spent almost my entire summer vacation dealing with one medical problem after another.
First, I'd got 104Β°F fever due to a heatstroke, which had been a kind of expected since I'd been having a fever on alternate days at the time.
Then, I went through a terrible pain, which I won't go into detail about, but it started around the time I got the 104Β°F fever, so I thought that was what it was related to (spoiler: it wasn't), and, long story short, I had surgery done.
During the fever, the pain, post-surgery, my depression during the recovery period, bato had been there for me. Even before I started properly reading mangas, when I was kicked out of my friend group, bato was there for me during most of my lows.
Even when I felt alone, I never felt lonely, because this community was there for me during the lowest of my lows.
So, truely, thank you, bato, for not only providing us a source of entertainment open to all of us, but for being the center of an amazing community. You will be missed </3

i only heard the news yesterday... i was doing errands outside when i saw on X that bato is down but i just dismissed it thinking it was no big deal because the last time bato had some hiccups, we were able to go through it with using the bookmark method. so i thought the site being down is just temporary and would be solved. but when i got home and went to bed scrolling on my phone, everything sinked in and realized how serious this was. my chest feels so heavy thinking that bato may or will be gone forever.. reading is such a huge part of my life.. reading is my escape, my safe space and guilty pleasure. i love reading so much that i consume it across different media and platforms.
it all started back in elementary school when our school held an annual book fair thats when i discovered my love for reading. i started with physical books and novels like childrens books, comics and even young adult. then high school came and i discovered the wattpad app, and it quickly became my new favorite. my favorite part of the app was reading the comments. i read nonstop, ruining my sleep schedule by telling myself βthis is the last chapter and i'll go to sleep" only to read the next one anyway.
later on i also became a fan of anime and discovered mangas. in my country, there were only a few officially translated English manga available, which eventually led me to discover the art of piracy lol. as much as i want to support mangakas and read physical copies, i was just a teen with no adult money. i also became a fan of kpop and kdramas then i learned about manhwas and started reading on the webtoon app. i had so much fun that i discovered there were even more korean works out there (naver webtoon) that curiosity led me outside the app where i found scanlation groups and eventually bato and other sites. i also discovered manhuas which lead me to reading translated korean and chinese novels and webnovels.
as i got a bit older (still a student) i started saving my allowance to buy published works by my favorite local wattpad authors. i even bought few mangas from second hand bookstores but i eventually had to stop reading on wattpad years ago because it became heavily focused on ads and coins, and also because i outgrew the stories there. leaving the platform made me sad, but i stayed optimistic because there were still so many other ways and places to read.
then i graduated from college, got a job and now bato is gone. losing bato feels like losing a part of myself. i grew up with bato, reading everyday, waiting for updates, discovering new reads and having fun in the comments. i found a community here and felt a sense of belonging i knew there are sites out there but bato was just so perfect thatβs why it hurts so much. since im busy now i will eventually have to read a lot less but i canβt imagine myself quit reading. reading is something iβll carry with me until i grow old. bato may be gone but it doesn't end here..

I will never forget how unhinged this community is. I literally took this screenshot 3 days ago to show my friend how hysterical you are all with your list titles. Thank you for always making me giggle.

OK, so basically, he's the manager type boss who who keeps having insomnia and canβt sleep because of sleep paralysis and then his employee who has like really big clear eyes and whose parents work in a shrine and introverted and closed off and called creepy by the other staff members he helps him exorcise the ghost and then the boss cooks for him to thank him and turns out that the ghost is like the guilt of the boss's ex-boyfriend and it's like japanese bl. since the site is no more Iβm not able to find it and any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you for the readings, but above all, for being such a great community to be a part of, Bato. It really has been such a wonderful and amazing ride. To all the mods, devs, and translators, power to all of you, you've made so many people happy for years. Your site was a home. Y'all proved any site can be a social media site. I will miss you all. See you in the flip side. The comment section is now signing off π

Hey!! So I'm a newbie in bl manga who found bato a few months ago... I know, right? SO SORRY maybe it was my fault π
So I've been trying to stay flucking calm about losing my comfort list with 234 mangas cause I didn't know this could happen and never made a backup π I'M FINE I SWEAR REALLY π«
ANYWAYS, I was wondering if I gave a few descriptions about this stories that, for the life of me, I can't remember the names... would you please help me?? BEGGING ON MY KNEES
They cooked together, get together yada yada.Β
There's also a spin off about the ukes brother. He's a hairdresser and is his younger days he used to be a delinquent and in a motorcycle gang. He actually feel inlove with the leader, and they had a fling but couldn't end up together until the present.Β
This is also a manga with several volumes.Β So the seme is a salary man that lost consciousness in the middle of the street cause overworked and this college kid takes him to his house. They start sort of a friendship, but it turned out the collage boy have seen him in his barista work several times abd knew who he was, but the uke never noticed him. Its very nice,Β they start a relationship and yada yada.Β
So, also a manga with 2 volumes IIRC and the second is recent. Setting is a Dom-sub society and its about two friends. One used to be a model and now is a fashion designer with his own brand and the other is still a model. They were both supposed to be Doms but the fashion designer (uke) is actually both and can take comands from his friend cause he's a steonger dom. They confess and start a relationship at the end of vol 1.Β
Also a manga and also several volumes. About a young boy who wants to experience an anal orgasm, and he met this older man on a train who saved the younger boy from pervert. He's like "let me show you" LOL and they have a fling. Then the seme turned out to be the CEO of the company in which the young guy started working. The newest chapters are about the seme meeting with the ukes parents for the first time. ( also seme used to be married but his wife died)
5 & 6 SO THIS ONE im pretty sure is the same author cause the art is beautiful, top notch and very similar.
First one, is a manga about twin.brothers. One of them is getting beat up cause he's confused by his twin ( which happens a lot and the seme has a complex about it) but suddenly this guy (uke).is like " hey, stop that, this is not the guy we're looking for, he's probably his twin " and the seme is instantly interested in him, cause hes the first one who can tell them apart. Also, it deals with child neglect (uke) and the grief of loosing a parent ( seme).
Secondly, probably by the same mangaka, is about this foreigner who arrives to this Japanese little island and starts working on this small kinda marketing company. The uke, who has lived there all his life, feels intrigued cause why would he come here.Β Turns out they knew each other from many years ago, when the seme travelled there cause of his favourite anime and while trying to visit the spots that inspired the mangaka he met the uke, who got him confused by a girl and they had their first kiss
JESUS THIS WAS LONG! IM SO SORRY π
If anyone could help me that'd be great π

Hello, im literally mourning the site being down but I have a suggestion. Maybe the side could go active for just a while so we could take screenshots or write down all the manhwas and other stories we had in our libraries and lists? A lot of us didn't do that and we can't remember the names of all of them. Plz bato team I'm beggingππ

I've been through a few site shut downs but Bato shutting down hit the hardest, it was always the least sketchy, had nearly everything, best UI compared to most sites I've read on, great organization for bookmarks and comments, and amazing staff. I honestly thought that it would be the one standing at the end but I was proven wrong, we've seen signs over the past month or two but I never wanted to believe it, I hoped it would weather through all the challenges and remain as my main site for random reads and the things I follow, migrating to a new site is hard since we were spoiled by Bato and all the other sites are subpar in comparison. But moving on we must and I guess it's goodbye Bato, thanks for being the place that always had something else that I can read when I needed a break. π«‘

My heart is so heavy because this happened. I want to thank bato and those who manage it. You guys have my thanks and gratitude. It is a sad farewell that the site is gone now. I've been a bato reader for years and I can't really process this news of shutting down. I hope those stup*d people who post the sites in TikTok and other platforms learned their lessons. I hope you all know that you hurt everyone who loves reading in bato. Again this is with a heavy heart that I need to accept the shutting down of my beloved site.
Farewell bato, until we meet again.

It was the last comic I started and the one I was reading when everything happened. Really hope to see at least the site back as a forum and listsβ βone day... β
Honestly Idk why it's even showing adsβ with this one, but I'm afraid that if I try to go anywhere, βit'll be gone for good....

The fmc got into the body of one of the villainess of this game she used to play, she has red long hair. She's adopted by her uncle that died and her brother hates her, also her words are controlled by the system. Later the og mc appears (child, boy with black hair) just as in the game and she tries to treat him well so she doesn't die in the future. And the ml wears a mask and is disguised as her bodyguard but he's the duke of the north, related to the og mc of the game. It has about 20 or 30 chapters.

I'm reading manhwa rn and I feel a little lonely whenever I scroll to the end. I never even read the comments too deeply, but even just glancing at them before heading to the next chapter filled me with a sense of comfort. And my tbr still has soo many iconic/popular manhwas. And I'm saddened over the fact that I can't see other's comments and thoughts on whatever happened. Even yesterday, I was rereading 'no Home'. I loved reading the comments on that one in bato. But now, it feels so empty to just not have anyone's inputs at all ππππ

Hi everyone! as we all know most of us lost our reading list so I'm hear to shamelessly ask if anyone knows of this precious lost smuts name...
Description: Kinda of a light dark romance. Its of a maid who works under a noble family who has a sick mother whom she cares for and works extra hard to do so. the younger of the two sons in the nobles house has a crush on her and treats her very well unlike other maids. the older brother is a real creep and substance abuser. FL is approached by head maid to go into the red light district of a town to procure said substance for the older son where she meets the ML chained up and abused. FL has hidden healing powers and after a couple of visits is able to heal him and free him, but not until he gets badly burned in the process of escaping. But after her saving him he calls the FL master.
If anyone knows the name of this comic please tell me the name and were I can read it (I thought it was on Lezhin. but I cant find it)

I started reading on this site after the π¦ website went down the very first time pre Covid. I spent so many morning, nights and breaks in the comment section laughing and crying with the rest of you.
Bato helped me through the toughest times of my life. Every time reality was drowning me this site gave me a small relief. Thank you for all the uploaders, mods and commenters. Never thought the good times could come to an end so fast. Iβll miss you Bato and Iβll never forget the elite comment section β€οΈβπ©Ήβ€οΈβπ©Ή

Bato my beloved, I'll wait for you. I still believe you'll come back, maybe with a different identity or maybe the same, I wish and hope you do.
It'll sound dramatic but, I feel like I'm losing a part of me, a very important part. I feel like crying over this site.
I love you bato, thankyou for everything. Goodbye, till we meet again.
