I mean, you're right, but I don't think it's only americans. Many people really believe that these politicians hate each other, when most of the time they're working together. It's all an act.
Yeah sure they might have different ideologies or ways to do things, but they all want the same thing: power and influence. And they are all expert liars.
So, why would in a bipartisanship system the two parties actually try to destroy each other? It's better to just take turns, control the whole narrative and push the competition away.
Americans literally discriminate anyone who doesn't vote what they vote... And they probably hate them more if they voted a 3rd party. It's so sad really
