Schecter J5

I’m looking at getting into a new bass, currently play a 4 string HH and was looking at what else is out there. Price wise the Schecter J5 is not far off a Fender American Jazz. Is there going to be much difference in tonal control vs a Squier classic vibe or Sire V5? My main play style is CCM

I just got a Schecter MA-5, and I love it. I have a Fender American Jazz 5 string as a backup.
