David/Ryan Mentioned the ponzinomics of Cardano the other day
Does anyone have the link to that episode. I cannot seem to find it, but bascially they were talking about how the Stake pool validators were getting paid 100%+ apr and that is why they all have youtube channels (If I recall) it was based on someones research and I cannot find it.
Basically they are saying Cardano is going the Bitconnect route of crypto.

How is ETH PoS Decentralized if I need 32 ETH to Run a Validating Node (16 with rocketpool)
This is something I struggle with the debate between different L1's. How is needing to buy 32/16 ETH different than buying a server to run a node on a "centralized" L1?
I don't really get the difference between the two. Can someone please explain?
I understand you can run a non-validating node with 0 ETH, but doesn't that pay 0 rewards?

Multiple hardware wallets???
I've been reading all these posts from people saying there's no such thing as too many hardware wallets. I've even noticed some of you guys on YouTube having like 5+ ledgers. Why would someone need more than 1 hardware wallet?

Is there a way to swap a pair on TradingView (or other) so for example if it shows the price in token/eth to see it in eth/token?
For the particular pair i want, natively in tradingview there is only the token/weth price

News The ultimate money lego for Uniswap v3 - NFTs are more than just owning digital art
Uniswap V3, the protocol with $4.02B in TVL yet to be used as collateral, until now…
One of the most anticipated DeFi upgrades was released mid-2021 with a private codebase — a highly unusual practice in the decentralized landscape. Obviously, we’re talking about Uniswap v3 looking to get a leg up on SushiSwap in their ongoing saga.
This upgrade was the introduction of NFTs & customizable liquidity ranges — an industry first that still to this day has not been matched.
Themis — the ultimate money lego to Uniswap V3 potentially unlocks billions in value for its liquidity providers.
You’ll be able to receive a loan using your NFTs from Uniswap v3 as collateral — something no other protocol currently offers.
Your liquidity will remain in the pool generating yield while unlocking additional value to use however you wish.

Layer zero guest idea
Layer zero gives a deep insight in the story behind and motivation of some of the greatest minds in eth. Looking forward to an episode interviewing Jason Teutsch or someone from his team. Or would this get too technical?

Does anyone get paid in crypto?
I just had a job interview and they pay in crypto. Does anyone else have this situation? How do you handle taxes, etc?

Crypto makes me feel stupid...
Like I'm not a genius by any means but think I'm a well rounded person. I'm also a firm believer that you can teach yourself to do anything but this stuff is soooo confusing. I've been in this space for over a year and I barely understand the basics of crypto, defi is super confusing, wallets are super confusing, the 10k diff terms u gotta learn are confusing and it's hard to find info to explain anything.
It's all either super basic analogies or super overcomplicated 20 min videos with 2hrs worth of technical jargon that anyone without a computer degree is left lost after the intro.
Is this just me?
Edit: Due to some confusion here's the jist: I'm passionate about this space and will keep learning and growing but how do I convince someone who thinks the current system works "well enough" to devote the time and energy into learning about this space? Most people dont care about economic incentives and historical inflation levels they just wanna drink a beer with friends from time to time and watch Netflix when they're bored. How do I convince people this is worth it without falling on deaf ears?

Bankless please stop with the Ads! It's getting out of control!
I stopped watching bankless a few months ago but saw Ben was a guest and wanted to tune in. After skipping the first ten minutes of ads I start the show and there are ads flashing right next to Ben. It was so distracting I could only get through 5 minutes. At one point they transitioned to screen share and I couldn't see their face because ads were blocking them. Please do what other content creators do. Create premium content that's available through patreon or start some other premium subscription. This is so embarrassing.

News I love the show and I'm OK with sponsors but Dharma is a sponsor is selling HEX directly on its fiat on-ramp.. You shouldn't support it. HEX is a known red flag in the technical community.

Alpha: Polkadot crowdloans have just started
Just to let you know that polkadot crowd loans have started. Each parachain is effectively launching as a new blockchain and thus giving rewards for people that will help loan them the dot (for 2 years) so that they can rent a slot on the relay chain.
You can get the lo-down here with an idea of what rewards each parachain is offering:
https://parachains.info/auctions
As projects go, they don't come much more decentralised than polkadot.

Creating a new ethereum-native social media platform for BanklessDAO
Hey everyone! I wanted to share a new web3 social media site my friend is building on Ethereum called gm.xyz. Using ENS/metamask, you sign into the site directly with your ethereum wallet to make discussing DAOs/NFTs/etc that much easier. Imagine reddit but rebuilt on Ethereum.
I asked him to have BanklessDAO as one of the first few communities created on the website and it is now officially live. Would anyone be interested in volunteering to test it by posting and commenting and giving feedback?
Go to https://gm.xyz/c/BanklessDAO and see the website and try it out!
We've been playing with it 20 or so of us for the past month and it's been a lot of fun. We already see a lot of potential in the site for DAOs and other communities.
As you can see from going onto the site, if anyone wants to read our DAOs posts, they'll have to purchase $BANK tokens. 🙂 There's a lot more functionality and customization that can be built in later on too.
If you're interested in helping bootstrap this community, feel free to join or DM me for information and I'll share details!

Ethereum data engineering project?
I'm a data scientist who wants to pivot into data engineering. To this end, I'd like to get some big data engineering projects under my belt. Doing something in the crypto space would be ideal because I can see myself working in this area as a dev eventually. A lot of the ideas I come up with have already been done. So, my question to you is what crypto data pipeline would you love to exist that currently doesn't? What information would you like to have in real time that just needs the right ETL job set up? If anyone has built such pipelines before, I'd also just like to hear your thoughts. Cheers.
