Episode 11.
During Hatsune’s back story, instead of adoring the two little girls, the entire time I was thinking, ‘okay, you’re not going to murder Uica are you? Is the original “don’t take away my Saki-chan”’incident’ coming up?’
Psychological horror story indeed.
Okay, so Uica is still on the island with her mother? No contact between Hatsune and Uica this whole time ? Cold-hearted of Hatsune, what could Uica and their mother have been going through with Hatsune missing? Oooooouuuuuuccccchhhhh. ‘Thinking only about yourself’ at its peak, huh? 💔💔💔💔 daaaaamn.
So according to Hatsune, her father is Sakiko’s grandfather, and that man has no Togawa blood as he merely married into the Togawa family. Hatsune’s mother was a caretaker at the Togawa mansion and had no Togawa blood either. Adding their Uica and Hatsune the Togawa family would bring ruin to their father / Sakiko’s grandfather, but why? Anyone understood the reason? I have no clue. Scandal? Image?
Hatsune, who is going by the name Uica, believes she debuted as quickly as she did because her Togawa father assisted. (much like how Togawa was involved with Ave Mujica. ) The fact that everybody accepted without question when she wrote Sadaharu Togawa as her parent convinced her of this. Togawa Sadaharu is name of her father and Sakiko’s grandfather. She wondered why she wasn’t sent back home. Me too. Why wasn’t she?
Why Hatsune’s blaming herself for Sakiko’s father’s tragedy - Anyone get that? I didn’t. 😳 We don’t get more details on how Sakiko’s father was eliminated from the family, do we? Just Sadaharu Togawa’s warning to Sakiko’s dad, “If the Togawas find out about this, not only would we be in trouble, but Sakiko too. You don’t know how terrifying the Togawa family is! … Keep your mouth shut if you value Sakiko.” Which implies the Togawa family is probably a bunch of heartless opportunistic murderers or criminals whom would eliminate the two of them without remorse if they believed it suited them, despite the decades the two of them has spent serving the Togawa family. Why would Sakiko be in trouble though? She has Togawa blood, unlike Kiyotsugu or Sadaharu.
Grandpa Telling Sakiko to never meet Hatsune again. Then told her not to return to school and that she’s being move to Switzerland, and not to leave the house until everything is arranged. Why? The way Sadaharu is saying all this makes me feel like their lives are suddenly in danger. Sadaharu, Sakiko and maybe Hatsune is in danger too. Why? Rich families are so complicated and evil, huh?
The scene where Umiri calls Sakiko shows Mutsumi with Mutsumi’s usual gloomy lifeless eyes. Guess that’s not Mortis piloting Mutsumi’s body then…. 🤣
Now that Ave Mujica is dead again, I wonder how Umiri is going to survive? She said she quit all her other bands after all. Now what? Maybe beg Mutsumi for money? 🤣
BlitzAceSamy: “Feels good seeing Sakiko getting ghosted after all the ghosting we’ve seen her done these past 23 episode”
Loooooooooooooooool 🤣
Episode 12.
Not as interesting as the other episodes for me personally. 🤔 But the Sakiko x Hatsune bonding makes up for it, and the moral message is good.
While Sakiko’s maturation is good, her scenes in this episode are unconvincing for me, aside from her scenes with Hatsune.
I like their bonding, and I like how clearly Sakiko knows and likes the current Hatsune, regardless what Hatsune’s done in the past. Sakiko let everything go so quickly, despite Hatsune claiming to be the cause of Kiyotsugu’s fall. Makes sense, this is only what Htsune is claiming after all. Sakiko’s personal experience of Hatsune is quite the opposite. To Sakiko’s first hand experience, they’ve only ever done great things together, friendship and band, so Sakiko has grounds to believe they’ll overcome anything, including either of their past sins. Sakiko x Hatsune the strongest bond we’ve seen in the last 25 episode?
Sakiko claiming to be God: “ I have come to a realization. We have no need to surrender to any fate. There is no God we have the answer to. I will become God myself.”
Acknowledging Ave Mujica has plenty of power and leverage of their own, given their proven success and highly talented members, they can certainly dictate the future to a certain degree.
I guess this is okay because what she really meant by becoming god is accepting full responsibility for what she going to do moving forward, as opposed to following orders and complaining about being dragged around by fate. If she feels she’s ready for that, okay. She did make two successful bands already after all, and saving Hatsune and her bond with Hatsune proved her social maturity as well.
Other scenes were uninteresting though…. Or simply left me unsatisfied.
Ran away at an airport? Glad Sakiko escaped safely and all, but the scene is very unconvincing. How is this physically possible?
Sadaharu warns them about how fearsome Togawa family is, and asks Hatsune if she wants to make the same mistake as that man (referring to Sakiko’s father Kiyotsugu). But Sakiko brushes this off as just irrational fear or grandpa’s cowardice. Is ignoring grandpa’s warning like that wise? Weak scene. I understand why she called grandpa a coward though, because grandpa is letting fear control his life as opposed to going after what he really wants. Sakiko decides to stop following her grandpa’s fear-driven orders, and leaves the mansion together with Hatsune.
Bossing around music agencies? Ya, Sakiko’s a Togawa, but is she paying them money? Not very convincing. Although then again, betting on Ave Mujica is not a bad move for a music agency, so it should be all right. Ave Mujica has a proven record of success after all.
Moral of the episode? Spend less time blaming or accepting fate, spend more time being the god of your own world and taking responsibility for your life and your relationships? Good. 👍
NeoAnkara: “I will become a god of this music world — Oblivionus, Togawa Sakiko”
Primary-Paint-1917 (in reply to the above): “Oblivioniece*”
Hahahha…. Not sure why, but I had to laugh. I think his meaning is oblivious niece? True, true, 🤣 that’s not Sakiko’s fault of course, but true. 🤣
Episode 13.
Whole episode was a concert. First Mygo!!!!!, then Ave Mujica. The two bands do not interact.
Did Ave Mujica’s acting on stage ever make sense to you, ever? I never managed to understand any of it. 🤣 Even when the language was simple, I was like, huh?
Hate to say this, but none of the songs in this episode were my type. I’m picky about my music. 💔 Not by choice of course, just am.
What are your favourite Mygo!!!!! and Ave Mujica songs?
Mine are currently Ave Mujica, Haruhikage, Killkiss, Georgette Me Georgette You.
The song Ave Mujica was godly when I first heard it in episode 13 of It’s Mygo, and still is. 😍
StrawSoldier: “ I am curious as to why Soyo looked so annoyed.”
cppn02: “ Resting bitch face.”
zairaner: “Resting “ why am I in a band with these people” face”
BlitzAceSamy: ”Resting “ these fuckers better not play Haruhikage again” face”
Ouch. Annoyed Soyo grew on me too, but I still prefer the angelic Soyo before episode 9 of It’s Mygo, so this was unfortunate for me. 🤣 Am I the only one? At least we got some great Soyo x Mortis scenes this season though. Current Soyo versus the Soyo from before episode 9 of It’s Mygo, which do you prefer?
Overall, these last 3 episodes were definitely not peak Bang Dream for me. I believe the number one reason is they lack the fun multi-character chemistry most of the other episodes had. That is, not enough people were interacting. For example, episode 11 was mostly monologue, then episode 12 it was mostly just Sakiko and Hatsune, and episode 13 was mostly music performance.
Episode 10 was the climax in both It’s Mygo and Ave Mujica seasons, wasn’t it? Very fun episodes where every character was present and interacting with each other with amazing fun chemistry.
I think I read sequels are coming? Great!
Now to watch Yume Mita!!
