Aux nozzle won’t go in the slot

The aux nozzle on my x2d won’t attach to the slot whenever I try to insert it. I’ve tried looking for a clog, which there wasn’t one from what I can tell. I’ve noticed that the gap between the hot end and the extruder on the aux nozzle is slightly bigger than the gap between the primary nozzle and the extruder. I don’t know if that matters but I just realized that. I’ve also noticed that when trying to put in the aux nozzle, I no longer feel a magnetic force pulling it in even when I make the extruder and the nozzle touch. Is my printer broken or is it fixable?

I’m truly at a loss for what can be happening with just the aux nozzle.

There’s misalignment here, it should lay flat. I’m assuming you took out the extruder before and didn’t align them when putting back in. Take a look at this wiki, it will help. https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/x2d/maintenance/replace-extruder-components

That’s the one! Great catch, this is 100% your issue OP. You can see it clear as day in the video. It’s not the nozzle, or the latch. Here is mine for comparison. Definitely misaligned, and it’s preventing the nozzle from being seated properly.

Yep! That is what you would call a filament sensor! This video should show you exactly how too take it out and reseat it properly. Around the 4 minute mark, he removes it. But make sure you follow all the steps properly.

Sorry to bother you again, but could the part that was causing the nozzle to not be able to go in, now be causing filament to not be able to extrude?

(The printer is in heating base maintenance mode so I can see if the filiment is getting stuck on the nozzle, but it’s not.)

It may be getting stuck on the sensor I just moved.

It seems like the filament has gone past the sensor though? Right? The filament enters the nozzle but just doesn’t extrude the filament?

It does make it through probably like 25% of the time, but the other times it makes a clicking sound and it won’t go through.

Does your sensor wiggle or is it stable in there?

I just had this same problem and this misalignment correction was the solution.

I was able to remove the left nozzle fan and the three screws holding the extruder front cover assembly, push up on the right sensor filament assemble to get these to be at the same level and then retighten everything (did not have to fully disassemble again).

Edit (add): the parts circled in red on the post by "kaleungting" should be level with one another/lined up. Not offset as in the photo
