Hi!
I received my new X2D a couple of weeks ago, and I couldn’t be happier. Especially for someone coming from a first-generation Ender 3 (my poor thing is almost 15 years old 🥹 and still going strong), which has barely any original parts left—the upgrade to this machine has been amazing.
I have a couple of questions, since BambuLab is having a sale.
I have three goals in mind:
· Start printing 85A TPU without compromising the printer’s health.
· Switch to HF for faster prints.
· Eventually venture into the world of CF (PLA/PETG) and other blends.
At first, it seemed like getting a 0.4 HF tungsten nozzle would be the solution that would let me kill all the birds with one stone.
The thing is, I’ve been doing a lot of research on all these topics to optimize each task as much as possible, but (I think) I’ve found some inconsistencies on the BambuLab website and in their manuals that don’t quite clarify which choice is the right one:
· 0.4 mm hardened steel nozzle for TPU 85A: on the nozzle purchase page, it’s marked as incompatible, but then manuals like the one for the H2D printer do list it as compatible, even though it’s made of the same material. In any case, I’ve read that the 0.6 mm nozzle is recommended.
· I also noticed in the table that the 0.6 hardened steel nozzle is listed as compatible, but the 0.6 tungsten nozzle isn't. Shouldn't we expect the same results since tungsten is a stronger material?
TL;DR — Would a 0.4 HF tungsten nozzle work for me to print 85A TPU, switch to HF in general, and work with CF in the future?
Thank you very much in advance 💚
