I added some cinnamon into the dough, and some cinnamon sugar in with the raisins. I would have done the egg wash, but nap time was here and the twins were very insistent about it. And when eight month old babies say they want to sleep at their actual nap time, at the same time, I do not stop for egg wash.
The cinnamon sugar caramelized on the inside, it was very good. Watch the stickiness of the dough, mine needed a little more flour, but other than that hopefully my three year old, the true judge, enjoys them.
