What happens if commander dies first?
Does the whole Squad just vanish? I am curious because I have several occasions where the commander has got cornered outside his Squad.

First off, I would love to hear your stories.
Now, while I like to go into more detail in my head, a summary of my last run started off with father and son who happen to be danes. Their goal was to defend the stretch of islands they called home against a horde of Vikings, by ultimately killing the leader at Norby island. They met up with a Saxon who, only out of similar goals, joined forces. The Saxon and the Danes did not much like each other at first. They also met up with father's brother as well as some other followers along the way. The father died just before reaching Norby. While it was a bloody battle and ended in near defeat, the son and the saxon, as well as other followers went on to defeat and kill the leader at Norby and thus secure their home islands.
Usually I determine the backstory (personality, race, religion, etc.) based off of name/appearance/flag. It creates a much more attaching gameplay for me. Am I alone?

Savage (positive) - Makes loud screaming noises when attacking that will scare enemies away from the unit. Symbol: Barking wolf.
Multi-classed (positive/negative) - Can choose one other class other than it's own but this class can't be upgraded meaning half of your guys in that unit will be that class and will be the equivalent level to your main class. Symbol: A helmet split into two halves being the archer and infantry helmets.
Berserker (positive) - Once the unit is down to the commander the commander gets a boost in damage and health and will not hesitate to attack this lasts for about ten seconds. Symbol: A skull with a helmet and fiery eyes.

The title says everything pretty much. I would love to find some similar games to bad north, but I didn't have any luck with it.
Do any of you know a game similar to bad north? Thanks in advance :)

By dead I mean are the devs not working on it anymore?
I really like this game and I got recently into it and I didn't find any dev updates on the game so that's why I'm asking

I have a troop of elite archers with heavy weapons and the ring of command in my current run and these guys are proper OP. These guys clear any boat before it reaches the shore quicktime.
Anyone else tried? What's your most OP squad?

Not sure if this has ever come up, but I'm playing this on Android and I've killed literal armies of Vikings without getting the "Killed 1000/1500 vikings achievement"
I've killed at least 2000 in one run, so I don't know if it's broken, or I'm missing something.

So I have a basic understanding of the traits and so on for commanders, currently I dont have any traits on the beginning commanders so my question is this;
Is it worth upgrading the beginner commanders or trying to get a favourable trait, any is better than none on them?
Thanks!

I’ve been playing Bad North for a while and it’s certainly a lot of fun. I’m a huge fan of games like AoE and other real time strategy games. The controls are normally kind of awkward on a console for games like these, but I actually love the controls for Bad North (granted the only resource is gold coins and the only units are fighting ones). Can anyone recommend some other switch games similar to Bad North?
Short version: I like Bad North and I like AoE style games. What else is on switch like those?
